Everest Base Camp

Everest Base Camp is a protected zone set up to protect the core area of Mount Everest, and it is one of the good places to watch and photograph Mount Everest. April-June every year is the mountaineering season, which is the time when the base camp of Mount Everest is lively. The traffic in Everest Base Camp is inconvenient, so cars can only drive to the tent camp next to Rongbuk Monastery. Visitors usually charter cars from Shigatse or Lhasa, and it takes about four days to go back and forth. Some tourists will stay in tent camps, which are not expensive, but conditions are arduous.

Every year during the climbing season, mountaineers from all over the world gather here. As an important starting point and rear base for mountaineering, the living facilities here are relatively complete and have basic medical security. At the same time, the ecological environment around the camp is well-protected.
