4 Days Jiangxi Culture Tour: Nanchang, Mt. Lu, Jingdezhen and Wuyaun

Today you will take the flight to the heroes’ city Nanchang. When arrival, our guide and driver will pick you up from the airport and then start your tour.

 

We will head to Tengwang Pavilion after breakfast. It is one of the most famous pavilions in China for its long history and profound culture. It was firstly built in early Tang dynasty (618 AD - 907 AD) by the little brother of Emperor Taizong and Tengwang means the King of Teng, which is the title of him. The pavilion was destroyed and restored many times in the history. This newly built one was strictly replicated according to the original appearance of the pavilion. It is extraordinary magnificent and the mighty Gan River surges onward, endless and expansive.

 

Then move to visit the famous Eight-one Uprising Memorial Hall. On 1st, August, 1927, The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) united with the left-wing of Chinese National Party (Kuomintang) to fire the first shot against the reactionaries of Kuomintang. After then, The CCP started armed struggle to fight for independence, freedom, equality and democracy.

Today we will go to the world heritage, the world geographical park and the 5A landscape area of China - Lu Mountain. The scenery in Lu mountain is well-known world-widely and the ecological environment is well-protected. Because of the excellent environment, Lu Mountain is regarded as the best natural sanitarium. We will visit Flower-path, Sky-bridge, Brocade-valley, Steep-summit, Negotiation-platform, Immortal’s Cave, Lu Mountain Museum and Meilu Villa. Meilu Villa is quite unique as both the head of the CCP and Kuomindang have ever stayed there.

In the morning, we will drive to Jingdezhen, the porcelain capital of China, visit the Ancient Kiln Factory & Folk Museum. There are hundreds of amazing kilns with the oldest kiln dating back to Song dynasty (1000 years ago) and they are still working today! The oldest porcelain workshop and producing line as well as the most sophisticated modern artworks will show you why the porcelain in China is world widely renowned. You will also have a chance to experience pottery making and take your DIY pottery home.

 

In the afternoon, fresh up yourself in Taoxichuan Ceramic Art Avenue where many art galleries and small museums are located in. There are also a wonderful market where people gathered to sell and buy handicrafts and some unique home-made porcelain that cannot be seen in other places.

 

Later in the day, say goodbye to Jingdezhen, and we will drive to the next fascinating spot - Wuyuan. On the way pay a visit to the 800 year-old Rainbow Bridge, almost the oldest, longest and most beautiful covered bridge in China!

In the afternoon, drive to Wuyuan, the most beautiful village in China. Upon arrival, your first stop is Likeng - a typical Hui style village with all the architecture in Hui style. Enjoy your peaceful afternoon in Likeng and appreciate the lovely scenery of little bridge, murmuring brook and rural cottages. Then we will head to the hometown of a Chinese great man - Jiangwan. It is the ancestral hometown of the former president of China - Jiang Zemin. It is also a peaceful and quiet village where living the families with the given name of Jiang.

 

After visiting, drive back to Nanchang. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight back home. Say goodbye to Nanchang and wish you a pleasant journey home! Hope to see you again in your next China trip!
