Day 1Chengdu Arrival

Arrive in Chengdu, we will pick you up from the airport exit and drive you to downtown hotel check in.

Day 2Changdu City Exploration

Today, we will embark on a full-day city tour. Our exploration will begin at People's Park, which was established in 1911. It is now a relaxing haven for locals, where you can enjoy beautiful scenery and appreciate various flower displays. Be sure to stop by Heming Tea House, as sipping a pot of tea and unwinding in the afternoon is a must-do experience.

Next, we will stroll through Kuan & Zhai Alley, a well-preserved ancient street dating back to the Qing Dynasty. This area is a famous commercial and cultural pedestrian street in China, where you can savor a variety of delicious foods for lunch.

We will also visit the Du Fu Thatched Cottage, a memorial that originated as a temple dedicated to the renowned poet Du Fu. This temple was built about a thousand years ago during the Song Dynasty (960–1279).

In the evening, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a Bianlian show, which is famous for its rapid and intricate transformations. This remarkable art form, deeply rooted in Chinese culture, showcases the incredible skill and precision of the performers.

Day 3Visit the Chengdu Panda Base, then take a fast train to Jiuzhaigou.

In the morning, we will visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, commonly known as Chengdu Panda Base. This facility provides the best environment for raising and breeding pandas. During the visit, you will have the chance to observe the daily life of these adorable animals and watch them eating bamboo during their active hours. After lunch, we will take a fast train to Jiuzhaigou.

Day 4Full day sightseeing in Jiuzhaigou

In the morning, enjoy a full day of sightseeing in Jiuzhaigou, a nature reserve located in northern Sichuan. This area is renowned for its numerous multi-level waterfalls and vibrant lakes. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992 and falls under category V (Protected Landscape) in the IUCN system for protected area classification.

Day 5Visit Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area, then take a fast train to Chengdu.

Say farewell to Jiuzhaigou as we travel to the Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area. We will walk up and then take the cable car down. This area is the only well-preserved plateau wetland in China. The changing scenery and the angle of the sunlight create a stunning array of colors.

After our visit, we will take a fast train back to Chengdu. We will check into our hotel and take some time to rest.

Day 6Visit the Leshan Giant Buddha, then drive to Mount Emei.

In the morning, we will drive to Leshan to visit the Leshan Giant Buddha, which includes a cruise. This magnificent statue stands 71 meters tall and is located at the confluence of three rivers. It is the tallest stone Buddha statue in the world, having been carved into the cliff of Lingyun Mountain to help suppress flooding. As we walk down the narrow staircases to the foot of the Buddha, we will enjoy stunning views of this incredible sculpture. 

Later in the afternoon, we will arrive at Mount Emei.

Day 7Explore the Mount Emei, then return to Chengdu.

What a stupendous day, this morning, you will take a 2-hour sightseeing bus from Baoguo Temple Station to Leidongping and then walk about 30 minutes to Jieyin Palace to take the cable car up to Golden Summit to enjoy the spectacular natural scenery.

After the tour, you will be escorted back to Chengdu (about 2.5 hours on-road).

In the afternoon free shopping in Wuhou Heng Street and Taiguli Shopping Mall.

Day 8Chengdu Departure

Today, we will drive to the Jinshan Site Museum, which features the ruins of the 3,000-year-old Shu Kingdom. This expansive museum includes the excavation site and showcases beautiful displays of many uncovered artifacts created between 1200 and 600 BC. After our visit, we will return to the city for lunch, followed by an airport transfer in the afternoon.

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
