5 Days Guiliin and Yangshuo Tour

After we confirmed the hotel, our trip leader will send message concerning the exact meeting place in Guilin in our trip groupchat 2 days before departure. You can arrive in Guilin at whatever time on the first day.

The rest of the day is free for you to have a good rest or explore the city. During this natural scenery visit, you will have a feast for eyes.

Check out in the monrning and leave for Elephant Hill. As a landmark in Guilin, Elephant Trunk Hill is widely known for its lively shape looking like a giant elephant drinking waterat the Li River. We will stay there for 2~3 hours, visit the Elephant Trunk Mountain and Sun & Moon Tower.

Leave at noon to Maha (2h by bus), a Minority Village with 600 years of history. Zhuang minority lives here. We go to cut bamboos and make bamboo rice meal at a Local Family Restaurant, and explore the paper making techniques together. Spend around 3hours there. In the evening, go to Longji Rice Terraces (1h by bus) and check in hotel nearby.

You may get up early to visit Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces, a magnificent scale of terraced fields. You will appreciate the splendid sceneries of the terraces from the best viewpoints and marvel at this agricultural masterpiece created by local farmers since ancient times. Check out from the hotel later and leave for Huangluo Yao Village (20mins by bus), the First Village of Long Hair in the World. Stay for 3~4 hours, visit several featured Zhuang and Yao minority villages.

Leave for Yangshuo (2h by bus) and check in hotel there. At night, you can take a stroll along the West Street, stop at any of the bars and have a leisure drink with your companions. You don't need to worry about communication with the shop or bar owners, because most locals speak fluent English and many of the owners are from English-speaking countries.

Leave from Yangshuo to Xingping ancient town in the morning (1h by bus). Actually, it is an age-old castle complex survived from over 500 years ago. Although some courtyard buildings have weathered through ages, the simple but elegant flying-eaves, roofs with colorful paintings, lattice windows and unique timber structures present the folk residence from the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

After that, you will take a cruise journey along Li River down to Yangshuo where picturesque scenery comes into view all the way: numerous hills and peaks flank along the river and reflect the shadows on the crystal water, while patches of fields decorate the banks on both sides. We will stay there for 2~3 hours. 

Go back to Yangshuo in the afternoon and go cycling in ten-mile Gallery. You can also take fire balloon or gliding parachute by yourself (price not included).

After the trip is completed, we will transfer you to the Guilin downtown and see you off.
