Day 1Arrive in Harbin

Welcome to Harbin, the captivating "Ice City" of China's Heilongjiang Province. Upon arrival, your friendly local guide will greet you at the airport or railway station and guide you to your downtown hotel. The rest of the day is yours to freely discover the city's unique charm.

Day 2Drive to China Snow Town & Snow landscape sightseeing

Following a hearty breakfast, reunite with your guide and driver at your hotel, and embark on a journey of about 5 to 6 hours to the renowned China Snow Town, approximately 280 kilometers from Harbin. As we traverse the route, immerse yourself in a winter wonderland of breathtaking beauty. The endless snow-capped landscape and quaint wooden houses evoke a sense of tranquility.

Upon arrival, indulge in a brief respite at your cozy hotel. Then, ascend to the viewing deck and be greeted by a panoramic view of China Snow Town, a dreamlike paradise that will take your breath away. Later, embark on a stroll along the charming Xueyun Avenue, a 500-meter-long street with wooden houses adorned with vibrant red lanterns. 

As the sun sets and the night draws near, step outside and behold the enchanting night view of China Snow Town. The twinkling lights and the serene atmosphere will create an unforgettable memory of your visit to this magical snow-covered paradise.

Day 3 Enjoy the sunrise of Yangcaoshan Hill, visit Dream Home - Drive to Yabuli Ski Resort

After breakfast, we'll take a mini sightseeing bus to Yangcaoshan Hill, start our journey at Yangcaoshan Hill, one of the most beautiful places around the Snow Town. Standing at an altitude of approximately 1,250 meters, it is the tallest peak in the region and known as the most beautiful spot in Snow Town. With sparse trees, it offers the best vantage point to enjoy the sunrise and sunset. If you wish to witness the splendor of the sunrise, please remember to arrive early, as the sun rises between 6:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. in winter. The sight of the first ray of red sunlight shining on the vast snowfield is truly magnificent.

Afterward, embark on your next journey to Dream Home, a renowned locale for filming numerous Chinese TV series and movies. Capture memorable photos.

As the afternoon draws near, bid farewell to this enchanting paradise and embark on a scenic two-hour drive to Yabuli Ski Resort, a colossal skiing destination in Asia. Spend the night in Yabuli, ready to explore more tomorrow.

Day 4Skiing and take part in activities in Yabuli Ski Resort - Drive to Harbin

After breakfast, embark on a thrilling skiing tour in Yabuli Resort. This world-class ski resort promises to deliver your ultimate skiing highlight. Bundle up in your warmest gear and glide down the snow-covered slopes at your preferred speed, with the shimmering winter snow, warm sunshine, and azure sky serving as the perfect backdrop. Immerse yourself in this snowy paradise, let your winter vacation come alive, laugh heartily, and make the most of every moment!

Beyond skiing, Yabuli Ski Resort offers a range of optional activities, including horse-drawn sleigh rides, snow tubing, snowmobiling, and more. Please note that these optional activities are not included in the tour price and will be charged separately by the resort.

Day 5 Ice and Snow Festival, International Snow Sculpture Art Expo, Siberian Tiger Park

After breakfast, your guide and driver will arrive at your hotel to escort you to the Sun Island Scenic Resort. Here, you'll discover a major showcase for the International Snow Sculpture Art Expo during the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival. Take a moment to admire the countless large-scale snow sculptures, ranging from landscapes and cartoons to figures and buildings. Their intricate detail and artistic beauty will surely leave you marveling at the talent of the craftsmen who breathe life into the frozen snow.

Next, you'll be taken to the nearby Siberian Tiger Park, the world's largest breeding center for the endangered Siberian Tiger. Here, over 1,300 purebred Siberian Tigers call home. Enjoy a safe walk to observe various tiger species, including Siberian Tigers, White Tigers, White Lions, Leopards, and even Ligers. Additionally, take a protected tourist bus ride through the park to get an even closer look at these majestic creatures and capture some unforgettable photos.

After dinner, you'll embark on a journey to the breathtaking Ice and Snow World, the star attraction of the annual Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival. Operating from around December 23 to late February, with hours spanning from 9:30 to 21:00. You can admire over 2,000 sculptures of ice and snow, illuminated by romantic LED lights.  If you're seeking to immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere to the fullest, you can opt for thrilling activities like sliding down the world's longest slide or trying your hand at other winter sports on ice, such as navigating an ice maze, ice climbing, or skating.

Day 6St. Sophia Cathedral, Zhongyang Pedestrian Street, Laodaowai, Jiuzhan Park - Harbin Departure

After a hearty breakfast, you'll embark on a journey with your guide and driver, leading you straight to the St. Sophia Cathedral. This must-visit attraction is a typical Byzantine-style structure, constructed in 1907, with a massive green dome. It once boasted the title of the largest Orthodox church in the Far East. The cathedral is the landmark of Harbin, currently serving as the Harbin Architectural Art Gallery, housing a collection of souvenirs. 

Following that, you'll visit the nearby exotic Zhongyang Pedestrian Street. Stroll along this 1,400-meter-long historic street to admire 71 precious buildings of varying styles and rich histories.

Next, embark on a historical journey to Laodaowai, the birthplace of Harbin. This celebrated street block stands out as the largest Chinese Baroque ensemble in China, boasting a plethora of enchanting Baroque structures that exude the rich romantic hues of the early 20th century. As you wander freely through the old streets and alleys, admire the blend of western façades with traditional Chinese courtyard and interior designs, accompanied by intriguing folk sculptures. 

Afterward, make your way to Jiuzhan Park along the Songhua River. Here, you'll witness a unique spectacle: winter swimmers, even elders aged 60 to 70, braving the frigid waters beneath the frozen surface. Alongside, you'll find people indulging in various winter activities on the ice, from skating cars and sliding to winter fishing, all adding to the lively atmosphere of the Songhua River.

After the tour, your driver will escort you to the airport for your flight to your home.

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
