Day 1Arrive in Harbin

Upon arrival in the exquisite and historic Harbin City, you will be met at the airport by the local Chinese-speaking driver and transferred to the hotel, where the staff will assist you with your check-in. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Day 2Deep Harbin Exploration

Today, following a hearty breakfast, your guide and driver will greet you at your hotel's door. Your first destination: Sophia Square, where the majestic St. Sophia Cathedral from 1907 stands, its holy aura captivating all who gaze upon it. This Byzantine masterpiece, adorned with a vast green dome, once reigned supreme as the Far East's largest Orthodox Church. Next, a short stroll takes you to the enchanting Zhongyang Pedestrian Street, a historic marvel from 1900. Stretching 1,400 meters long, this exotic promenade showcases 71 exquisite buildings, each a masterpiece in its own right, boasting a rich history and diverse architectural styles.

Next, we'll journey to Sun Island Park, where the Sun Island International Snow Sculpture Art Expo takes place every winter. Here, you'll behold a diverse array of awe-inspiring snow sculptures, each embodying a unique cultural narrative. Take your time to appreciate these creations and capture as many memorable moments as you desire!

Then we'll visit the Siberian Tiger Park, a global beacon of conservation, housing the world's largest breeding center for endangered Siberian Tigers. Over 1,300 purebred tigers call this sanctuary home. Prepare for a thrilling, yet safe, encounter where you'll observe a diverse array of big cats, including Siberian Tigers, majestic White Tigers, rare White Lions, sleek Leopards, and enigmatic Ligers. Additionally, embark on a thrilling bus tour through the park, encased in wire-mesh protection, for an up-close-and-personal glimpse of these majestic beasts and the perfect opportunity to capture unforgettable photos.

After dinner, we'll embark on an exploration of the Harbin Ice Festival's crown jewel—the Ice and Snow World. You'll be immersed in a winter wonderland, awestruck by the colossal ice sculptures, each intricately crafted and breathtakingly detailed. Behold magnificent replicas of famous buildings and monuments, spanning various architectural styles, along with figures of animals, people, and mythical creatures. Don't miss the ice slides and lanterns that add to the enchantment. As evening descends, multicolored lights will illuminate the sculptures, transforming them into a dazzling spectacle of icy artistry.

Day 3Harbin - China Snow Town

Following a hearty breakfast, reunite with your guide and driver at your hotel, and embark on a journey of about 5 to 6 hours to the renowned China Snow Town, approximately 280 kilometers from Harbin. As we traverse the route, immerse yourself in a winter wonderland of breathtaking beauty. The endless snow-capped landscape and quaint wooden houses evoke a sense of tranquility.

Upon arrival, indulge in a brief respite at your cozy hotel. Then, ascend to the viewing deck and be greeted by a panoramic view of China Snow Town, a dreamlike paradise that will take your breath away. Later, embark on a stroll along the charming Xueyun Avenue, a 500-meter-long street with wooden houses adorned with vibrant red lanterns. 

As the sun sets and the night draws near, step outside and behold the enchanting night view of China Snow Town. The twinkling lights and the serene atmosphere will create an unforgettable memory of your visit to this magical snow-covered paradise.

Day 4Explore more at China Snow Town - Drive to Erdaobaihe Town

After breakfast, we'll take a mini sightseeing bus to Yangcaoshan Hill. Standing at an altitude of approximately 1,250 meters, it is the tallest peak in the region and known as the most beautiful spot in Snow Town. With sparse trees, it offers the best vantage point to enjoy the sunrise and sunset. If you wish to witness the splendor of the sunrise, please remember to arrive early, as the sun rises between 6:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. in winter. The sight of the first ray of red sunlight shining on the vast snowfield is truly magnificent. Afterward, embark on your next journey to Dream Home, a renowned locale for filming numerous Chinese TV series and movies. Capture memorable photos.

As the day's delights draw to a close, you'll be escorted to the Erdaobaihe Town, nestled near the majestic Changbai Mountain. A scenic drive of approximately 372 kilometers, or 5 to 6 hours.

Day 5Changbai Mountain Sightseeing

After breakfast, your guide and driver will whisk you away from your hotel for a scenic drive towards Changbai Mountain

Changbai Mountain boasts a tapestry of wonders: rare wildlife, verdant forests, crystal-clear lakes, and bubbling hot springs. The crown jewel among these wonders is Tian Chi, China's deepest alpine lake, a serene oasis surrounded by 16 soaring peaks. Embark on a scenic bus ride to this wonder, ascending to its lofty perch at 2,189 meters above sea level, where Guinness Book of Records has deemed it the world's highest volcanic lake. 

After immersing yourself in the serenity of Tian Chi, descend into a winter wonderland for further exploration. Journey to Changbai Waterfall, where water from Heavenly Lake cascades 68 meters down, creating the world's longest volcanic waterfall. From the viewing deck, witness two streams of water plummeting like celestial dragons. 

Then, head to the Small Heavenly Lake, hidden within a pristine birch forest, where a serene stroll along the riverside awaits. Continue your journey to Green Deep Pool, a scenic gem often likened to "Little Jiuzhai Valley in Northeast China," with its emerald waters and delicate waterfalls cascading from cliffs.

Lastly, embark on a stroll through Valley Forest, a verdant tapestry woven by the volcanic eruptions of Changbai Mountain's past. 

Later, your guide and driver will escort you to Changbai Korean Folk Village, nestled approximately 3.5 kilometers east of Changbai County. Nestled at the foot of Changbai Mountain's southern slope. Stepping into the village, you'll be transported to a world where traditional Korean customs and styles flourish. Take a leisurely stroll, admiring the Memorial Archway, the Magpie Bridge, the majestic Bronze Bull, the gently turning waterwheel, and the rare stone garden. 

After the tour, you will be taken to the hotel in Erdaobaihe Town.

Day 6Depart from Changbai Mountain

This morning, you have the freedom to relax or explore at your leisure, until your guide escorts you to Changbaishan Airport or Changbaishan Railway Station, where you'll board your flight or high-speed train, bound for your next destination or your home.

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
