Day 1Arrive in Huangshan

Welcome to the majestic Huangshan! Upon your arrival, our local tour guide will welcome you in the Arrival Hall of Huangshan Tunxi Airport or Huangshan North Railway Station. From there, a cozy, non-smoking vehicle piloted by an experienced driver will take you to your hotel. 

After a rest at your hotel, embark on a leisurely stroll down the 900-year-old Tunxi Ancient Street, where authentic Huizhou-style architectures whisper tales of the past. Then, delve into an intriguing visit to Hu Kaiwen Ink-stick Factory, uncovering the ancient art of crafting ink sticks.

Day 2Mt. Huangshan Sightseeing

As dawn breaks over breakfast's delightful finale, our guide and driver will arrive at your hotel, ready to embark on a scenic journey. Traversing 80 kilometers (a leisurely 1.5 hours) through lush landscapes, we arrive at the base of Mount Huangshan, also known as Yellow Mountain—a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a crown jewel among China's most breathtaking mountains. 

You'll aboard a park bus from the mountain's base, whisking you to Yungu Temple. From there, soar to the heights of Huangshan's enchanting North Sea Scenic Area via cableway, renowned for its awe-inspiring cliffs, majestic pines, and panoramic vistas.  Then, embark on a hike to Dispelling Cloud Pavilion, a perch offering a breathtaking glimpse into the Dreamland – West Sea Grand Canyon. Descend into the canyon's depths along stone steps, immersed in a world of rock spires, enigmatic cliffs, fantastical stones, and tenacious pines.

If time and energy permit, dedicate an hour to the Sky Sea Scenic Area, where the sunset paints the sky from Bright Summit, the second highest peak at 1840m.  Then return to your hotel on the mountain and have a good rest.

Day 3Huangshan Departure

Rise with the dawn (typically between 5 and 6am) to behold Huangshan's breathtaking sunrise. On clear days, witness the sun's golden rays pierce the misty veil. Once the sun has risen, retreat to your hotel for a nourishing breakfast.

Embark on a captivating journey through Yellow Mountain, exploring iconic sights like the Dawn Pavilion and the Stone Monkey Watching the Sea, perched atop majestic Lion Peak (1690m). Traverse a wooden path leading to the cable station, where a cable car awaits to carry you down the mountain's slopes.

As your tour draws to a close, your guide will ensure a seamless transition, guiding you to your flight or train, poised to embark on the next leg of your unforgettable adventure.

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
