Day 4Visit the Sanqing Mountain

After breakfast, today we will go to Sanqing Mountain by bus. It is one of the most famous Taoist mountains. As the indigenous religion of China, Taoism believes that man must be an integral part of nature, so it highly values the natural environment for believers’ practice. No wonder that the natural scenery in Sanqingshan is predominant in that area.

We will start our exploration of the essential parts of the mountain from the Nanqingyuan Scenic Area. You will see many grotesque stones on the way, shaped like a python snake and goddess, which are the goddess of spring and python out of the mountain. Then go ahead to the Sunshine Coast Scenic Area where to have the widest view of the whole mountain area. After hiking for 2 to 3 hours, we will arrive at the last stop today – the West Coast Scenic Area. Walk through the Grand Canyon and visit various Taoist temples there. And tomorrow you will know why we end our day on the West Coast. (Depending on your energy, you can choose whether to take the cable car or not).

During the journey, you will have the opportunity to view numerous unique Hui-style architectures, and your guide will share the historical stories associated with some of these structures.

You will have a wonderful afternoon in the valley. The valley is known as the No.1 valley in the south of the Yangtze River. Whether you are strolling around the bamboo sea or simply sitting beside the clear brook, the peaceful and beautiful valley will wash away the city dust and work fatigue. You can visit Qingyun Bridge, Xunxian Road, the corridor bridge, and Sandie Waterfall.

Later in the day, as night falls, you may be surprised to see the small dotted lights somewhere you didn't notice suddenly lighting up. The entire valley transforms into a fairyland in an instant. If you choose a higher vantage point and overlook the valley, the lingering fog and shadowy clouds will reveal why such breathtaking scenery is often depicted in traditional Chinese paintings.

Legend has it that during the Eastern Han dynasty (25 AD - 220 AD), Zhang Daoling, the founder of the Zhengyi sect of Taoism, conducted alchemic experiments and eventually succeeded. Upon opening the furnace, a dragon and a tiger jumped out and hovered over the mountain, giving rise to its name. Longhu Mountain is also renowned for its Danxia Landform. Even for visitors who are not Taoists or fans of Taoism, the breathtaking scenery here is sure to leave them satisfied.

Today's itinerary includes a visit to Tianshi Palace and Shangqing Ancient Village, both of which are excellent places to experience Chinese Taoist culture. After that, we'll try the thrilling and exciting Luxi River Drifting experience. Finally, we'll drive back to Nanchang to stay overnight.

The pavilion has been destroyed and restored many times throughout history. The newly built pavilion is an exact replica of the original and is extraordinarily magnificent. The mighty Gan River surges onward, endless and expansive.

After visiting the Tengwang Pavilion, we will go to the Badashanren Memorial Hall. "Badashanren" is the self-title of a very famous calligrapher and painter from China who lived in the 17th century.
