Day 1Chengdu Arrival

Arrive in Chengdu. We will pick you up from the airport exit and drive you to downtown hotel check in. The rest of the day is for you to freely explore the city.

The hotel locates near the Kuan & Zhai Alley, a relatively well-preserved ancient street in Qing Dynasty. It is a famous commercial and cultural pedestrain street in Chengdu. There are many delicious food, and you can take a walk by yourselves and enjoy dinner here.

Day 2Chengdu City Tour

Morning after breakfast, we will visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (known as Chengdu Panda Base) which is the best possible environment for rearing and breeding. Here, you will see the daily life of the cute pandas, and see them eating bamboo at their active time.

Wenshu Temple where you can sit in its tea house for a cup of traditional Chinese tea.

Walk through the Jinli Old Street to admire the architecture and unique local fun. You can enjoy Sichuan cuisine for dinner at a local restaurant this evening.

Day 3Chengdo train to Jiuzhaigou

Morning take the fast train to Jiuzhaigou, the train stops at Songpan or Huanglongjiuzhai. Upon arrival, visit Songpan Ancient City, known as Songzhou in ancient time. It was built in the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty. An important station of mutual market". Songpan Ancient City is a place where multiple ethnic cultures blend together, inhabited by Tibetan people, Qiang people, and other ethnic groups. The unique cultural traditions of each ethnic group have been well preserved here.

Then we will visit Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area (round trip cable car),It is the only well protected plateau wetland in China. With the change of the surrounding scenery and the angle of the sunlight brings out the colorful color.

Later in the afternoon, we will drive to Jiuzhaigou, check in hotel and enjoy peaceful night!

Day 4Jiuzhaigou Sightseeing

Full day sightseeing in Jiuzhaigou. Jiuzhaigou is known for its many multi-level waterfalls and colorful lakes, and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992. It belongs to the category V (Protected Landscape) in the IUCN system of protected area categorization.Then, You can take the tourist bus to the top, when you get there, you can walk down part way and take the bus down the rest of the way.

Day 5Jiuzhaigou train to Chengdu departure

Today in the morning, we will take the fast train back to Chengdu. The driver will send you to the airport according to your flight time. See you next trip!

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
