13 Days West Sichuan Adventure: Jiuzhai Valley, Daocheng

Welcome to Chengdu, noted as “land of abundance”. Upon arrival, be transferred to the hotel and check in. In the afternoon, you will have enough time to rest. In the evening, we will go to famous night fair in Chengdu and taste delicious food with local characteristic.

After breakfast, drive to the core area of the outer mountain of Qingcheng. After arriving, start a light hike in the natural mountain stream. You can watch the stream and green vegetation halfway, and feel the exclusive and non-commercial clean environment. 

After arriving at Taoist Temple, take a rest, and then try to cook the ancient food with the Taoist master, and enjoy the ancient food——traditional tofu pudding, stewed chicken with ginkgo, and the special dishes of Qingcheng Taoist Temple. The Taoist master brother will personally teach you a set of Tai Chi Chuan (a kind of traditional Chinese shadowboxing).

In the afternoon, drive to a secret place in the back mountain of Qingcheng, enjoy the exclusive  afternoon tea, enjoy the scenery, feel the natural aesthetics, hit the popular place among mountain stream.

After breakfast, drive to Siguniang Mountain and pass Yingxiu Town and Wolong Town on the way. Today we will go to Changping Valley of Siguniang Mountain, which is the best place for primitive ecological tourism and ethnic tourism in Siguniang Mountain scenic area. We don't need to rush. Stop-and-go driving can let us enjoy scenery of lakes and streams, snow mountains and grasslands along the way. 

After breakfast, we arrive at the camp to start our Glamping, or we can stroll through the mountains and spend a leisurely time. After lunch in the town, go to Danba Jiaju Tibetan residence, which ranks first in "the most beautiful villages in China". Enthusiastic locals will offer Hada to the distinguished guests. Visit old artists' houses and learn Mani stone painting experience. We will also learn to play buttered tea and other special activities in the Tibetan family.

"Jia Ju" means a hundred households in Tibetan. The Tibetan stone buildings with red, white and brown colors are scattered along the bank of the Dadu River on the steep mountain wall at the foot of the snow mountain, forming a charming picture.

After breakfast, drive to Dangling and start today's hiking trip. Along the way, we will see mountains, streams and even lovely groundhog. A layer of white fog rose between the mountains, and Tibetan houses scattered on the hillside. Some are in groups, some are independent.

The houses with ochre red, golden yellow and pure white as the main colors are set off in the green water and green mountains. It feels like a wonderful oil painting. Enjoy the beauty of the lake, rest in the original environment of western Sichuan, then return to Dangling Village on foot.

In the early morning, accompanied by the local Tibetans, go to the White Tower to experience the blessing ceremony and visit the Tibetan village. After the end of the tour, go to the Moshi Park. There is a little-known "small Seda" village in the deep behind the Tagong Temple.

We will experience the daily life of villagers in the Circumlation Walls and Juemu Temple. Feel the pure Tibetan culture and take photos in minority scenic spots. 

Today, we set out from Yajiang to Batang County. After lunch in Litang, we will visit the first largest Gelug sect (yellow lamaism) temple in Kang District——Changqingchun Keer Temple.

In the afternoon, go to Batang, the hometown of Xianzi Dance. We are here to prepare for tomorrow’s trip. From Xinduqiao to Litang, there are good scenery all the way. Today is a good opportunity to film the scenery of road travel.

In Litang, we can have a deeper understanding of Tsangyang Gyatso by visiting Qianhu Tibetan Village (Letong Ancient Town).

The Cuopugou Natural Ecological Reserve is located in the northern part of the county seat of Batang County (Chaluo Township) under the Haizi Mountain, Ganzi Prefecture, western Sichuan Province. It borders Maoya Dam and Litang County in the east, the Yasu Mountain with an altitude of 4860 meters in the west, and the Zhajinjiabo Mountain and Baiyu Mountain in the south, with an area of 900 square kilometers. It concentrates the beautiful scenery of Sichuan Tibet, including snow mountains, grasslands and forests.

After the tour, drive to Shangri-La Town (low altitude at the entrance of the scenic spot) to check in and rest.

After breakfast, go to Yading Scenic Spot. Take the sightseeing bus through Yading Village, arrive at Zhaguanbeng, and then walk to Chonggu Temple. We can continue to walk to the Pearl Sea, the holy lake under the Mount Xiannairi.

We will enjoy the beautiful scenery of Daocheng Yading (about 3-4 hours). After lunch, we set off for Xinduqiao, the paradise of photography. Xinduqiao is a small town in the west of Kangding County, 81 kilometers away from the county seat, also known as East Russia. It is known as "the paradise of photographers". Its beauty lies not in Xinduqiao Town itself, but in the scenic corridor of 10km along the route 2km from the east to the west of Xinduqiao.

Xinduqiao is a small town located in the open valley and on the famous national highway 318 80km west to Kangding. It is an intersection of Danba, Mount Gongga, Kangding and Litang/Daocheng.

Today, we are going to Lotus Lake Scenic Spot (Moon Lake), the hinterland of Xindu Bridge. This is an outdoor mirror lake hidden in the deep mountains, with the quiet mountains and the blue-green sea. The Lotus Lake is backed by a snowy mountain. The lake is wide and will bloom in various colors in the right season, so it is named. Because of the limited conditions, we will arrange a unique forest picnic here.

After breakfast, today we will drive all the way east along the beautiful landscape avenue. Arrive at Kangding City and have lunch here. After lunch, go to Mugecuo scenic spot for sightseeing.

After breakfast, drive to Chengdu. Then you will be transferred to the airport and fly to your sweet home. Looking forward to seeing you next time.
