8 Days Landscape Adventure to Gansu and Qinghai

Today your flight will touch down in Xining, the capital city of Qinghai. When you arrive at Xining you can meet your driver at the Airport, and then your driver will take you to the hotel to relax. The rest of day is for you to explore this city.

After breakfast at the hotel, our professional tour guide will bring you to the train station to next stop Zhangye. Upon arrival, visit the Grand Buddha Temple, which is one of the important travel destinations of the Silk Road, where you can visit the largest indoor clay statue of Buddha in China and the exquisite mural sculptures plus the ancient buildings. 

Stretching 25 miles (40 kilometers) from west to east, Danxia precipices, stone columns, aiguilles and hills are widely distributed in this region. The narrow hills in the Binggou Danxia are all pointing to the sky, making this valley the Red Stone Forest of the Great Northwest. Viewed from a distance, the rolling hills look like temples, pagodas, and figures of Buddha, making the valley a natural Buddhist land.

Today we will drive all the way to Alxa Youqi, and take you to Badanjaran Desert, which lies to the north of Alxa Youqi in Inner Mongolia. It is the third largest desert in China and fourth in the world. Endowed with beautiful and colorful views, Badanjaran desert has cragged peaks, beautiful lakes, springs and temples, countless sand-echoing hills are in the middle area of the desert. We will stop in Mongle family take dinner and stay at night.

Full day in Badain Jaran Desert which has the world's highest sand mountains, with the magnificent Mingsha area, scattered Lake oases, endless Shahai springs and mysterious desert temples to name just a few. These peculiar and charming landscapes have made it an ideal place for desert exploration, tourism and photography in recent years. After visiting, we will back way for Zhangye.

After delighted buffet, we will be driving from Zhangye to Qilian county. Pay a visit to Zhuoer Mountain, located in China's northwest Qinghai Province, it showcases the typical characteristics of the Danxia landform. The combination of crimson sandstone and green grassland forms a unique landscape with sharp color contrast.

What an exciting day, today our professional tour guide and driver will meet you at the hotel lobby in the morning and then we will drive to Chaka Town, upon arrival, head to explore the Chaka Salt Lake, Chaka Salt Lake means “the sea of salt” in Mongolian. It lies in the centre of Qaidam Basin, which was named by the national tourist geography magazine as one of the 55 places to go.

Today travel to the beautiful Qinghai Lake, the largest inland salt water lake in China. It is no exaggeration to say that Qinghai Lake is a miracle that is endowed by a deity. Outside, He encircled the lake with four continuous mountains and extends broad grassland at the foot of them. Inside, like a master baker, He decorated the water with many little islands. All these natural attractions come together perfectly to form a Xanadu on earth to win many tourists' favour. Afterwards, transfer to Xining.
