  • Glass Bridge

Steps onto the structure, before striding, meandering and even lying 300 meters above the valley below. Daredevils can enjoy the world's highest bungee jump from the bridge, and fashionistas have evened turned parts of it into a catwalk.

  • Yuanjiajie

This mighty mountain is mainly composed of quartzite. Lush trees and foggy mountains cover this beautiful landscape. The fictional, floating rocks in the movie "Avatar" were inspired by the rocks of Yuanjiajie. Stand on the observation deck and gorgeous landscapes will spread out before you in all four directions. It really is a sight to behold.

  • Tianmen Mountain

At nearly 7.5km, the world's longest passenger cableway takes you direct from the heart of Zhangjiajie city to the lush summit of Tianmen Mountain. The views are undoubtedly breath-taking as you rise above dramatic limestone cliffs and burst through swirling mist banks to arrive in what feels like the heavens themselves.

Day 1Zhangjiajie Arrival

Arrive in Zhangjiajie by flight in the evening, pick up, transfer to Pullman Hotel in Wulingyuan.

Day 2Tianzi Mountain & Yuanjiajie

Breakfast in the hotel, today you will head for one of the most famous attractions in the park and the one that attracts the most tourists – The Son of Heaven Mountain (Tianzi mountain). You will ascend the mountain by cable-car and at the top you will be able to enjoy views of Warrior Taming Horse Rock and the Western Sea which are two of the most stunning mountain formations in the whole park and are really a pleasure to see.

Then take shuttle bus and battery car to sky farmland, from where you can see some rice field on the top of pillar, which is very spectacular, hike down to a scenic platform, you can get very close to the pillar mountains, which is one of the best view in the park! Then take shuttle bus to the top of Yuanjiajie area, which is now famous because of the movie Avatar. From here, you'll stand at the same level with the mid-age pillars, which is bigger than those on Tianzi mountain. Take super Bailong elevator down the mountain and transfer back to hotel.

Day 3Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, Airport Transfer

Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge, the bridge stretches between two cliffs - it's about 430 meters long and 300 meters above the Grand Canyon. You can see the bottom of the canyon through the bridge when you are walking on it. After the Glass Bridge we either take zipline & slide OR elevator & slide (weight limit for zipline: 40kg to 80kg) down to the bottom of the canyon. Then hike along the trails in Grand Canyon, which is indeed another kind of enjoyment, you can just enjoy the quietness, beautiful waterfalls, pristine water and be very close to the nature. All you need to do is just relax yourself and be invovled in the nature.

Then transfer to Tianmen mountain in Zhangjiajie city. As the highest mountain (1548.6m) in Zhangjiajie area, Tianmen mountain owned the longest cable car (7455m) in the world, which takes half an hour for one-way riding. On the cable car, you can have a bird view of the 99 curves Tongtian road. Enjoy the breathless walking along the glass bottom skywalk against the cliff. The 999 steps can directly reach the amazing Tianmen cave, the natural mountain-penetrating karst cave with the highest elevation in the world, hangs on the towering cliff, it is indeed a big feast of your eyes!

After the visit of Tianmen, you will catch an evening flight back to your sweet home,

TRIP NOTES

  • We will upgrade trains to 1st class where available if book the tour 5 months in advance of departure.

  • There is no problem to travel Silk Road during Ramadan.

  • Complimentary 2 bottles of water each person on daily use.

Our guides are very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful. And our group tours will be escorted from SRT.

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
