12 Days North Xinjiang and Duku Highway

Today you will arrive in Urumqi. We will pick you up from the Urumqi airport and transfer to the hotel check in. The rest of the day you can have a rest at the hotel or enjoy your leisure time in Urumqi on your own.

Today we will start our tour from visiting the Heavenly Lake, a picturesque Alpine lake. Upon arrival, we will change the scenic shuttle bus and enjoy the different view up to the mountains. Blue sky, clouds, snow-capped mountain and pine trees.

Then drive to Fuyun, on the way you can enjoy the stunning Huoshaoshan (Burnning Mountain), where you will witness a sea of red, caused by burnt rocks that look as if they are still burning along the hills.

Today after breakfast, we will drive to Koktokay National Geological Park, along the highway the Lake Kekesuli will be seen. After arriving, you will see "Haizi Kou" and explore the Tunnel of Mine No. 3, which comprises of many types of minerals. Take a tram ride and travel along Irtysh Grand Canyon till you reach Shenzhong Mountain and xisit the "Earthquake Museun". After visiting, we will drive back to Fuyun and spend the night here.

Today we will take the transportation to Hemu Village, which is also known as the first village in China, the Scenic Spot is located in Burqin County, Altay District, about 30 kilometers east of Kanas Lake. It is an exquisite and unique wooden house village with a small bridge and magnificent scenery. Meanwhile, you can also experience the unique lifestyle of Tuvas, which is quite worth to visit.

Exciting day! We will drive along the mountain road to the amazing Kanas Nature Reserve, China's only European ecological site that has been awarded the title of the "Pure Land of the World" due to its unspoiled natural scenery. Have a lunch when we arrive in Kanas Jiadengyu, after that go to the center of park and take the shuttle bus to visit the famous Monn Bay, Dragon Bay and Immortal Bay. When we get off the shuttle bus, we can continue the tour to Fish Pavilion for a bird's eye view of Kanas Lake and its surrounding. Or you can experience the cruise if you are interested. Later afternoon we will check into the hotel for rest.

Today we will still enjoy the scenery of Kanas Nature Reserve. It is the most beautiful mountain lake you have never seen. The lake takes on differnent colors following the four seasons of the year, sometimes it's crystal blue, sometimes it's dark green, or even gray. 

Afternoon head to Burqin, enjoy the sunset of Five-colored Beach. Walk into the colorful beach, you will fell as if ina deram world. The unique lava landscape consisted of purplish red, vandyke red, yellow and light green mudstone, sandstone and gravel. This is the most beautiful colorful Beach, masterpiece of nature and miracle of Burqin.

Today we will drive to Dushanzi to star our exciting tour on the beautiful Duku Highway. On the way visit the Urho Ghost city, also known as "Wuerhe Wind City", a unique wind-eroded geological area commonly referred to as "wind city" because of the frequent howling winds. This is the most beautiful Yadan Landform in the region. When we arrive at the entrance, we will take the shuttle bus to visit the entire Ghost City, which is shaped like a small train.

Afterwards, drive to Kuitun to have overnight stay.

Today we will go for Naraty along the Duku Highway! We will pass by the Dushanzi Grand Canyon with 100-4-- meters wide. After the driver rushes out of the Tianshan Mountain, it cuts into the magical scenic canyon formed by the sloping plain to the southwest of Dushanzi. The terraces on both sides of the canyon can be clearly seen, which can be divided into at least 9 levels. The alluvial gullies formed by the snow and rainwater flowing down the valley walls. The canyon starts from the foot of the mountain and forms distinct layers of soil on the grassland.

Today, your guide and driver will pick you up in the morning. We'll head to the pasture Naraty Air Grassland, which has been famous since ancient times, and there are wide river valley, high mountains, the crisscrossed deep gores, the flourishing forest and open grassland. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery and explore the Kazakh way of life.

Later in the way, we will drive to Tekes downtown. You will enjoy a wonderful night in Lijie Street, where to experience the unique "Bagua" culture of Tekes. Have a good rest after hotel checking in.

Today you will start your journey from the ingenious Karajun Prairie, which is as beautiful as in a poem or a picture. There are springs densely distributed here. Every year, from May to September, the ideal place for people of the pasture to exchange materials and hold cultural activities. Karajun, in Kazak, means "a dark wilderness". For generations, people on the grassland have lived a simple nomadic life. The traditional lifestyle exudes a unique charm.

Then drive to Yining and enjoy a tour at Kazanqi Folk Village, the only large-scale cultural scenic spot in Northern Xinjiang, which mainly reflects the Uygur customs. Unique architectural style and hospitable locals are the best choices to ecperience the local life style and culture. What's more, we are going to visit Liuxing Street, named for its hexagonal street, was built in the mid-1930s. A hundred years of cultural precipitation has shaped the unique historical and humanistic value of Liuxing Street. Now Liuxing Street has developed into a famous tourist attraction integrating tourism, cultural exhibition, garden tourism, specialty restaurants and craft processing. And you can also visit the famous Alexander accordion Museum there.

After breakfast, we will head to Kuitun. When you suddenly smell the enchanting scent of flower wafted by the breeze, which means we come to the Lavender Farm. Immerse yourself in the sea of lavender.

Then say goodbye to the Lavender Farm and we will continue our journey. On the way we will pass by the famous Guozigou Bridge, the largest and most important bridge in Xinjiang. There are many beautiful bends and you can enjoy the scenery of Guozigou valley which is the most beautiful valley in Northern Xinjiang enroute.

Not far from the Guozigou Bridge is the famous Sayram Lake, which is known as the last drop of tears of the Atlantic. The largest alpine lake in Xinjiang. Stroll around the lake and enjoy the blooming wildflowers and beautiful grassland around the lake. in the late afternoon, take the train 5hrs to Urumqi.
