Day 1Arrive in Shanghai

Today your flight will touch down in Shanghai. We will meet you at the airport. Be transferred to the hotel and the rest of the day is for you to relax and prepare for our Natural wonder and Culture Adventure.

Day 2Shanghai City Highlights

In the morning, the tour will begin from Yu Garden, a classical garden, which was built in Ming dynasty. Black tiles and white walls establish a nonchalant and simple keynote . The dainty style makes one feel comfortable, and each exquisite window lattice is telling its own story, serves the record of the past delicate life. Every piece of roof tile is passing a sort of affection of pride and memories. Then we will be visiting Shanghai Museum, The museum has a circular roof and rectangular base. It stores 120,000 precious artifacts, which narrate a story of China's 5,000-year civilization. After visiting, we will explore the beatiful scenery of Huangpu River, At the Baidu Bridge in the center of Shanghai City, Huangpu River flows together with the Wusong River (i.e. Suzhou River) and finally flows into the East China Sea.for overnight stay.

Day 3Shanghai - Xi'an

In the morning, you will be transferred to the train station and take the high-speed train to Xi'an. We will meet you at the train station. Then take you to the hotel and check you in. The rest of the day is free for you to explore this city.

Day 4Xi'an Sightseeing

Today we will explore the ancient Xi'an. First, we will visit the City Wall. You will have a bird's-eye view of panorama of Xi'an city when wandering along the wall. Followed by the ancient Bell Tower, it is the most well-preserved ancient military defensive systems and the landmark of Xi'an. Afterwards, we pay a visit toone of the most complete Han residential courtyard-- Gao courtyard, which is well preserved and mastery in pursuit of the art wandering through the tight and interesting Muslim Quarter to experience the local lifestyle. Street vendors selling all sorts of goods from souvenirs, hand crafted products and local snacks. You need to bargain with the vendors if you are buying goods.

Day 5Xi'an Sightseeing

Tour starts at 08:00 and then drive about 1 hour to the countryside of the Xi'an city and visit the most imposing historic site Terracotta Warriors, the most significant archaeological excavations of the 20th century. Work is ongoing at this site, which is around 1.5 kilometers east of Emperor Qin Shi Huang's Mausoleum in Lintong, It is a sight not to be missed by any visitor to China. Believe you will be amazed by the culture and history to get a feeling back to Qing Dynasty during the 3hrs experience.

Lunch will be in the local restaurant, we will continue the sightseeing to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda built to house Buddhist scriptures collected by a Chinese Monk. Big Wild Goose Pagoda has 7 floors in total. Architecture is traditional Chinese style decorating with some Buddha statues. Tourists can see variety of Buddha statues and see the whole Xi'an city at the top floor. In the evening, you will stroll around Tang Paradise, which features numerous buildings, squares, and gardens, all incorporating features of traditional Tang Chinese architecture.

Day 6 Xi'an-Chengdu

Take the fast train to Chengdu,  we will pick you up from the train station and drive you to downtown. Morning tour at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (known as Chengdu Panda Base) which is the best possible environment for rearing and breeding. Here, you can explore the daily life of the cute pandas, and see them eating bamboo at their active time. After having a short rest, we will start exploring this city from People's Park. The park was built in 1911. It is now a relaxing place for locals. Enjoy the delicacy scenery and appreciate various flower shows. Drink tea at Heming Tea House is a must-do thing for you. Spend one afternoon, order a pot of tea and do nothing but relax.

Later, you will dip into Kuan & Zhai Alley, a relatively well-preserved ancient street in Qing Dynasty. It is a famous commercial and cultural pedestrain street in China. There are many delicious food, and you can enjoy your Dinner here.

Day 7Chengdu-Leshan-Chengdu

Morning, we will drive to Leshan and pay a visit to the Leshan Giant Buddha(include cruise) with the height of 71 meter, sitting at the confluence of three rivers. It is the tallest stone Buddha statue in the world. It was carved on the cliff of Lingyun Mountain in order to suppress the flood. Enjoy spectacular view of the huge statue as you walking down through the narrow staircases to the foot of the Buddha. 

In the afternoon drive back to Chengdu.

Day 8Chengdu-Beijing

After breakfast, take the flight to Beijing, The capital city of China, our guide will meet you in the airport and then visit for today is Tiananmen Square, which is the largest city public square in the world. It has great cultural significance as it was the site of a number of important events in the Chinese history, including the proclamation of the People's Republic of China on October 1, 1949.

And then we are going to visit the Chinese royal palace Forbidden City, Also called Palace Museum, the Forbidden City is recognized as the most magnificent and splendid palace complex in China and one of the five world-famous palaces, along with the Palace of Versailles in France, Buckingham Palace in England, the White House in United States, and the Kremlin in Russia.

Day 9Beijing City Tour

Morning head to visit the Mutianyu Great Wall, Mutianyu Section is called as the Majestic Pass on Precipitous Mountains, which is one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall, it is also the longest Great Wall in China. In the afternoon, we will drive back to downtown. On the way, you can take a photo stop at the 2008 Olympic Site to see the Bird's Nest National Stadium and Water Cube Aquatic Centre.

Day 10Departure from Beijing

Today you will end your enjoyable China tour, we will arrange the airport transfer for you. Wish you have a pleasant journey home!

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
