Day 1Xi'an Arrival

Today you will catch the flight to Xi'an. We will meet you at the airport with a welcome board, then bring you to the downtown hotel and check in.

Day 2Xi'an City Tour

Spend a full day immersing yourself in Xi'an's attractions and cuisine. Our journey begins with the awe-inspiring Terracotta Warriors and Horses of the First Qin Emperor, about an hour's drive outside of Xi'an. The Terracotta Warriors and Horses are located about 1.5 kilometers east of the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor in Lintong and have been hailed as one of the most significant archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. Prepare to be mesmerized by the rich culture and history of this place, as you are transported back to the Qing Dynasty during the three-hour tour. (Please remember not to use flash photography).

In the afternoon, we will continue our tour to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a historical building used to store Buddhist scriptures collected by a Chinese monk. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda has seven floors and is decorated in the traditional Chinese architectural style with intricate decorations and life-like statues of Buddha. Climbing to the top, you'll marvel at the wide array of Buddha statues while taking in the stunning views of the city of Xi'an.

We then wander through the vibrant and intriguing Muslim Quarter, where you can immerse yourself in the local lifestyle. The quarter is lined with street vendors peddling an array of goods, including souvenirs, handmade crafts, and local snacks. Be prepared to engage in a bit of bargaining if you decide to purchase any items.

In the evening, we will head to Tang Everbright City, which is a feast for the senses, especially as night falls and the area is transformed by a spectacular display of lights. The street, lined with towering replicas of ancient Chinese architecture, comes alive with vibrant neon and traditional lanterns, casting a warm glow over the entire district. 

Then back to the hotel and have a good rest.

Day 3Xi'an - Shanghai

Today is an another day to explore the history and culture in Xi’an.

First we pay a visit to Xi'an City Museum, a treasure trove for anyone interested in the art facts of Chinese history. Exhibits numerous unearthed cultural artifacts and represents the imposing image of a 13-dynasties capital.

Following that,we visit the Xi'an City Wall, where you'll be treated to a breathtaking bird's-eye view of the city's panorama as you stroll along its perimeter.

After visit we will transfer you to the train station catch the bullet train to Shanghai in 15:32.

Day 4Shanghai - Hangzhou

Morning we will be taking a cruise on the West Lake to enjoy the beautiful views of lake and surrounding mountains. The last stop is at Longjing Tea plantation, where you will have an opportunity to sample newly harvested tea.

Lingyin Temple was founded in the first year of Xianhe (326) of the Eastern Jin Dynasty by the West Indian monk Huili. Monk Huili thought that Feilai Peak was a place where ‘the immortal spirits were hidden’, so he built a temple facing the mountain and named it ‘Lingyin’. The architecture is simple, elegant and beautifully decorated, blending perfectly with the surrounding natural environment. The temple is surrounded by green mountains and water, giving it a beautiful view and a sense of tranquillity and peace.

Hefang Street is currently one of the streets that best reflects the historical and cultural landscape of Hangzhou. It is home to many old shops and Hangzhou speciality shops, such as Kong Fengchun Fragrant Powder Shop, Zhang Xiaoquan Scissors, Hu Qingyu Tang, etc., demonstrating Hangzhou's long history of commercial culture and city life.

Day 5Hangzhou - Suzhou

After enjoying a delightful breakfast, we will visit the Liouyuan Garden, it is not only a beautiful garden, but also an important carrier of traditional Chinese culture. The garden's attractions, architecture and plants are all elements of people's aspirations and pursuit of a better life.

The Humble Administrator's Garden(Zhuozheng Garden) is centred on water, with lingering mountains and water, exquisite halls and pavilions, luxuriant flowers and trees, full of poetry and picturesque, with rich characteristics of the Jiangnan water town. It is regarded as ‘the treasure of Chinese classical garden’.

Afterwards, take a walk along Shantang Street, a historic street lined with shops, restaurants, and scenic views along the canal.

Day 6Suzhou - Shanghai

Today, we will drive to Shanghai explore Shikumen Lane this historic residential area known for its unique architecture, blending Western and Chinese styles. Enjoy the charming alleys and local shops.

Then, visit Yu Garden, it is a classical garden, which was built in Ming dynasty. Afterwards, you can stroll in Yuyuan Market to buy some souvenirs for your families and friends. Afterwards, wander through the Chenghuangmiao Old Town, which filled with shops, food stalls, and historical buildings.

Day 7Shanghai Sightseeing

Morning Breakfast at hotel, meet your guide and the driver at the hotel lobby. Visit the Oriental Pearl Tv Tower -- which is the third tallest Tv Tower in the world,Transparent Sightseeing Gallery is located on the second main sphere, with a circumference 150 meters and a width of 2.1 meter. Tourists can overlook the panoramic view of the Huangpu River through the transparent glass at your feet, which make visitors feel like walking in the cloud.

Spend some time exploring Xintiandi tianzifang, a vibrant area filled with shops, restaurants, and art galleries. And you can take a coffee at the world's largest Starbucks Reserve in Shanghai.

Then we go to the Museum of Contemporary Art, which is showcasing modern and contemporary Chinese art, with rotating exhibitions.

In the evening, you can stroll on the Bund to admire the architectural gallery, and enjoy a scenic cruise on the Huangpu River to see the illuminated skyline of Shanghai at night.

Day 8Shanghai Departure

It’s time to say farewell to Shanghai.We will take you to the airport and back to your destination. Wish you a pleasant journey home!

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.

Payment and Deposit 

1. 4 to 15 pax in a group (4 pax min, 15 pax max)

2. Typically we will take 600 USD per person as deposit when you book the trip (You can pay the deposit through WeChat/Alipay/bank transfer.)

3. Then the balance will be paid when you arrive. (Note: The balance needs to be paid 7 days before departure if your trip is just in the official Chinese holiday. E.g. Chinese New Year, Labor's Day, National Day)

Our cancellation policies are very friendly.

If you have to cancel your trip for some unexpected reasons, we have the following policies:
1. FULL REFUND at least 15 days before departure date. (Note: except the cost of service fees paid for the third party, such as trains, hotels,transportation etc)2. FULL REFUND if there is no flight and train to arrive resulted from extreme weather or government restrictions.

If the trip is cancelled due to severe weather conditions or any government restriction, full refund will be offered.
