12 Days China Private Tour: Chongqin - Xi'an - Luoyang

Welcome to Chongqin. Upon arriving in Chongqin, our tour guide will meet you and escort you to the hotel for a rest. The rest of the day is your own leisure time.

After breakfast, we will meet you at the hotel lobby and transfer you to Dazu and visit the Baodingshan, known as Mount Baoding, Precious Summit Mountain, and Summit of Treasures, is a Buddhist site in Chongqing. Then visit The Beishan Grottoes were carved beginning in the late Tang, that culminated in the Song-Dynasty carvings at Baodingshan and Anyue. Continue to visit the Shizhuanshan, located southwest of Dazu County. It was originally built to be a ritual site. Then visit the Nanshan, the cave of Taoist trinity contains all of the three hundred and sixty gods and this is very rare. Shimenshan Rock Carvings, located to the east of Dazu County. It is built during the Song dynasty. The name Shimen literally means, "stone gate", which is appropriate since the entrance is located between rocks. There are a total of 16 groups of Carvings. The carvings and statues are mostly focused on the Taoist and Buddhist themes.

Take the morning train to Chengdu. Spend two-hour drive and  visit Leshan Giant Buddha with the height of 71 meter, sitting at the confluence of three rivers. Built in the Tang Dynasty(618AD-907AD), Leshan Giant Buddha, with 71 metres high, is the largest statue of Buddha around the world. It is carved on the cliff of Lingyun Mountain with a delicate design of drainage system.

After visiting, drive back to Chengdu for rest

Start our journey from Chengdu to Jiuzhai Valley today. This Morning your guided tour will begin with a visit to see a lovely giant panda in the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. You will enjoy this cheerful morning with this endangered and rare lovely bears. Followed by a trip to the Wenshu Temple where you can sit in its tea house for a cup of traditional Chinese tea. Thereafter, proceed to visit the Wuhou Temple. Located in the south suburb of Chengdu, Wuhou Temple covers 37,000 square meters (398,277 square feet).

Be transferred to the train station to take the train to Xi'an.

Spend the other whole day exploring culture and customer in Xi'an.

First we pay a visit to Qian Tomb, lies on Liangshan Hill, about 80 kilometers from Xi'an. It took 23 years to complete Qian Tomb. 

Afterwards, head up to the Hanyang Tomb, which is the one of the largest ancient tombs of the Western Han Dynasty ever discovered. 

Tour starts at 08:00 and then drive 1 hour to get close to the incredible Terracotta Warriors in China’s first Emperor’s Tomb built 2300 years ago,the most significant archaeological excavations of the 20th century.

After lunch in the local restaurant, head to ancient architecture and a holy place for Buddhists.- Big Goose Pagoda,The restored Buddha and building are beautiful with spectacular timber work and gilded features are recently built by donors, they make a fine job of explaining the role of Buddhism in China’s history.

Continue our sightseeing of Tang Paradise, which features numerous buildings, squares, and gardens, all incorporating features of traditional Tang Chinese architecture.

Then drive to the hotel and have a good rest.

Today is an another day to explore the history and culture in Xi' an.

We will visit Shaanxi Museum, one of the major museums in China. It is home to numerous unearthed cultural artifacts and represents the imposing image of a 13-dynasties capital. 

Continue tour to the Ancient City Wall, the most well-preserved city wall and the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. You will have a bird's-eye view of panorama of Xi' an city when wandering along the city wall

Afterwards, you will tour the Great Mosque and Muslim Quarter, Relax with free wandering along the street when tasting the local delicacies and experiencing the local lifestyle.

After that, you will be transferred to train station to take the train to Tianshui, have a good rest.

Our day trip will start with taking the Bullet Train to Tianshui, it is one of the significant silk road cities located along the Wei River. It's about a 1.5 hours train ride into the city. When you arrive at the Tianshui, our professional tour guide will bring you to visit the Maji Mountain Grottoes, a network of caves and walkways carved into the cliffside, adorned in colourful Buddhist artwork within. It is famous for its exquisite clay sculpture art. Thereafter, continue our journey, we are going to visit the Fuxi Temple, also known as Taihao Palace, as well as Renzhong Temple, it is one of the famous ancient buildings in Northwest China. Meanwhile, there are ten historic buildings in the temple including the theatrical stage, archways, the main gate, the instrumental gate, Congenital Temple, Taiji Temple, Bell Tower, Drum Tower, and Laihe Hall. Here is the best place to learn the Fuxi culture. then bus transfer to the hotel, you will spend the night in Tianshui and depart in the morning.

After breakfast, a wonderful day begins with Longmen Grottoes,  one of the finest examples of Chinese Buddhist art, which are as many as 100,000 statues within the 2,345 caves, ranging from an 1 inch (25 mm) to 57 feet (17 m) in height and nearly 2,500 stelaes and inscriptions. This is a visual feast for those who 'd like to visit Buddhist statues. Departing from Lomgmen Grottoes, we will head out to White Horse Temple (Baima Temple), considered by most believers as "the cradle of Chinese Buddhism" where you can enjoy all kinds of statues.

After breakfast,  we will head out to Luoyang Museum, you will do an exploration of the history and culture. Then move on to Zhengzhou and visit the next spot: Shaolin Temple, a fascinating place to learn about the origins of Buddhism and the discipline of Kung Fu. You will be amazed by the pagoda forest celebrating numerous eminent monks over 1200 years. 20mins Kung Fu Show bring all those action movies to life.

Thereafter, drive to Kaifeng for rest.

Morning pick you up from the hotel and take you to visit the Memorial Temple of Lord Bao, this buildings tell the legendary stories of Lord Bao. 

Then we will visit the Xiangguo Monastery, one of the top ten Monastery in China, Xiangguo Monastery used to be one of the famous centers of Buddhism in ancient China.

Farewell to Beijing. Today your journey comes to an end. You will be transferred to the airport or train station based on your schedule. Look forward to our next meeting.
