Located in the Tianluokeng scenic spot of Shuyang Town, Nanjing County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, Taxia Village is an ancient village with a long and rich history. It is renowned as a famous hometown of overseas Chinese in Zhangzhou and is also recognized as one of the first 15 landscape villages in China.
Surrounded by high mountains, the village is home to over 400 houses built along a meandering stream that takes the shape of an "S". The Tulou, which is a traditional fortified earth building of the Hakka people, is one of the key features of the village. The most unique feature of the village is Diaojiao Lou's single-courtyard civil and brick-wood structures. Among them, Yu De Building and Shunchang Building are located on both sides of the stream, combined with the stream shape like Taiji, Taxia Village is therefore known as "Taiji water town".

Zhang's Clan Ancestral Hall -- Deyuan Hall: One of the most distinctive attractions in Taxia Village, this exquisitely designed ancestral hall has a history of more than 400 years. There are 23 stone flagpoles (commonly known as Stone dragon flagpoles) standing by the pond in front of the hall, which is the most preserved and best-preserved stone dragon flagpole group in China. It is a historical witness of the importance of civilization and traditional cultural thoughts of the Hakka people in southwest Fujian Province.
The Taxia village's Tulou is a prominent attraction, characterized by unique and diverse earth buildings built on tall mountains, exuding an imposing presence. The banks of the stream alongside the attraction house a total of 47 Tulou, each with a different shape, which together form a magnificent picture of mountain architecture.
There are many inns and restaurants all over the village, and you can rest your feet when you are tired and look at the dense green mountains. When it was time to eat, the smoke curling up from the smoke on the old house was very healing.

Taxia Village is located in the southern region of low latitude in China, in the transitional zone from the Middle subtropical zone to the south subtropical zone, which belongs to the subtropical Marine monsoon climate. The climate of the village is characterized by no cold winters or hot summers, an average annual temperature of 21℃, an annual rainfall of 1700mm, and abundant rain. Taxia Village is located in the southern section of the Boping Mountains, the average elevation is 565 meters. Taxia village is rich in tea, red persimmon, mao bamboo, etc., and is the hometown of the tea and persimmon production base in the Zhangzhou area.
