The Gahai Lake
Gannan Gahai Lake, located in Gahai Township, Luqu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is the largest freshwater lake in Gannan region and an important wetland in the eastern part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It is known as a pearl on the plateau. The lake is about 3480 meters above sea level, and the water source comes from the melting water of snow and ice in the Qilian Mountain system, which is fed by underground currents and precipitation, and finally gathers into this beautiful lake.
