Day 1Huangshan

Transfer to Huangshan Scenic Area

Your guide will be waiting for you in the hotel lobby at around 8:30 a.m.. You'll be picked up and driven to the Huangshan Scenic Area.

Please note: Your guide will assist you in storing large suitcases at your hotel in Tunxi free of charge. You can retrieve them on your way back. Alternatively, luggage storage is available at the foot of the mountain for a fee of approximately 20 RMB per case.

Exploring Huangshan Mountain

Upon arrival at Huangshan Scenic Area transfer center, you will take a shuttle bus to the Yungu cable station. Then take the cableway up to the mountain.

Enjoy a full day exploring the scenic wonders of Huangshan, including notable attractions such as White Goose Peak, Beginning-to-Believe Peak, Black Tiger pine, Cloud-dispelling Pavilion, Flying-over Rock, Bright Summit, Xihai Grand Canyon, etc.

Lunch atop the mountain is available at your own expense.

Overnight Stay

Stay overnight at a hotel located on the top of Mt. Huangshan.

Day 2Huangshan

Mount Yellow Sunrise Experience

Early in the morning, climb up to the nearest view point to enjoy sunrise. Whether you'll have the chance to witness a breathtaking sunrise depends on the weather conditions.

Exploring Huangshan Mountain

Today at Mount Yellow, you'll explore remarkable sites such as Lion Peak, a monkey gaping at the sea, the flower grown out of a writing brush rock—each offering unique and unforgettable views.

Descending the Mountain & Return to Huangshan City

After enjoying the scenic spots, you can choose to descend the mountain on foot or take the Yungu cable car.

In the afternoon, we will return to Huangshan city. We will send you to the hotel, train station or the airport according to your plan. See you next time!

  • We will upgrade trains to 1st class where available if book the tour 5 months in advance of departure.

  • There is no problem to travel Silk Road during Ramadan.

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
