Day 1 Hohhot Arrival

Today you will take the flight to Hohhot, which named "Green City". Upon arrival, we will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the hotel for checking in. The rest of the day you can have a rest at the hotel or enjoy your leisure time on your own.

Day 2Xilamuren Grassland sightseeing

Today is a good day, in the morning, local guide will meet you at the hotel and then depart for Xilamuren grassland. There will be a small welcome ceremony when you arrive. After lunch, you will head to visit HongGeer Obo with the Mongolian Show. You will also enjoy the monglian banquet--Zhama banquet for dinner, and join the bonfire party after dinner.

Day 3have fun in Happy Ranch, then drive to Hohhot for Dazhao Temple, stroll around Islamic Street

Morning enjoy the sunrise in grassland, then we will head to visit the Happy Ranch, to experience the local Mongolian Culture. After lunch, you will be arranged to Dazhao Temple which is the most beautiful temple in Hohhot and guest favorite pagoda. Following of Gelugpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism. At last, stroll around the Islamic Street.

Day 4explore Jiangjun Yashu, a glimpse of Buddhist relics, then visit Zhaojun Museum

Start today's exploration to visit the Hohhot Jiangjun Yashu which is located in the middle of downtown, west of Drum Tower. Jiangjun Yashu is the only preserved historical building of cultural relics in Mongolian area of China. It enjoys a higher station in the national historic site of cultural relic. Then head to visit Buddhist relics, a rare art building in ancient China. Later, admire the Zhaojun Museum, one of the largest Han Tombs in China. Zhaojun is one of the four beautiful women in ancient China and a symbol of beauty.

Day 5enjoy Hasuhai, admire Wudang Monastery

Another wonderful day is coming, after breakfast, we will drive about 70km to reach the Yellow River old path, but now it is a local wetland. Enjoy the tour around the Sea of Hasu

After that, you will be arranged to visit the Wudang Monastery, one of China's key cultural relics protection units and one of China's four famous Tibetan Buddhist temples. Wudang Monastery is as famous as the Potala Palace in Tibet, the Thar Temple in Qinghai, and the Kangbuling Temple in Gansu. It is the largest Tibetan Buddhist temple in Inner Mongolia.

After the visiting, back to the hotel in Dalad for overnight stay, have a good rest!

Day 6be amazed by Whishtling Dune Bay, then drive to Ordos

The journey is still ongoing. Today's first destination is the Whistling Dune Bay, which is named by the geographic phenomenon of "singing sand". Whistling Dune Bay is located in the Kubuqi Desert, Dalad Banner of Ordos City, Inner Mongolia. It situates at the easternmost borderline of desert in China and is called the Head of Dragon Desert. Han Tai Chuan River flows in front of it and Gu Zi Liang Mountain faces to the other side of the bank.

Day 7drive to explore Kangbashi, then have a silent conversation with Mausoleum of Genghis Khan

Get up early and start your journey! Today we will drive to Kangbashi, the first China 4A city resort, to watch the Mongolia chess square and the Plaza of the Asian Art Center. Then move on to the 5A scenic area of Mausoleum of Genghis Khan. With the world's largest Genghis Khan culture and Mongolia culture as the theme of the scenic spots, it has magnificent scenery, Mongolia Museum of history and culture etc.

Day 8 have fun in Laoniuwan - Yellow River Grand Canyon

Your today's trip now kicks off! In the morning, we will drive to Laoniuwan - Yellow River Grand Canyon, Laoniuwan Geopark in Qingshuihe county of Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, covering a total area of 25.34 square kilometers. Located in the junction of Inner Mongolia and Shanxi Province, it is a place where China's two greatest symbols – the Great Wall and the Yellow River - meet. You can experience the local life style in ancient village.

Day 9drive back to Hohhot and visit Inner Mongolia Museum

This wonderful day will start from driving back to Hohhot, then we will move on to Inner Mongolia Museum. With a collection of 44,000 objects, this museum displays the unique ethnic history of Northern Tribes and serves as a window to know Inner Mongolia deeply.

After a leisure time in the museum, we will back to the hotel for overnight stay. Have a good rest!

Day 10Hohhot Departure

Today in the morning, you will say farewell to Hohhot and be transferred to the airport, take the flight back to your sweet home. It has been a great holiday and we look forward to seeing you another China tour!

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
