Brief Introduction
Known as the "Little Switzerland in the East", Zhuoer Mountain Scenic spot is located in Babao Town, Qilian County. It is located on the north bank of the Babao River, the top of the mountain is green, and the tall and verdant pine and cypress are dotted around it. Zhuoer Mountain is the Danxia landform, composed of red sandstone, conglomerate, and the perfect integration of pastoral, forest, and grassland to form a unique landscape. It is called "Zongmu Ma Glama" in Tibetan, which means beautiful ruddy queen.
In front of the Zhuoer mountain is facing Ami Dongsuo, king of the Qilian sacred mountains, the left and right sides are the Ladong Gorge and Poplar Ditch Scenic Spot, and the back is the rolling Qilian Mountains, the foot of the surging Babao River like a white hada around the county.
What to Visit in Zhuoer Mountain
Zhuoer Mountain has many stunning natural views, and it is also a base for many writers, poets, photographers, and artists to draw from life. The forests, rape blossoms, villages, and county towns on both sides of the mountains will feast your eyes.
There is a Beacon Tower in Zhuoer Mountain, which is the ruins of the ancient Western Xia Dynasty. You can look out at the entire Qilian landscape in the beacon tower. The beacon tower has many lookout points, forming a natural picture frame.
Standing at the top of the Zhuoer Mountain, the view is very wide. Surrounded by the Qilian Mountains, the grasslands from June to August are green and the golden rapeseed flowers are magnificent.
When is the Best Time to Visit Zhuoer Mountain
Summer: from the end of June to August
Autumn: from the end of September to the beginning of October

How to Get to Zhuoer Mountain
1. Xining Automobile Passenger Transport Center ( tourism distribution center ) has a shuttle bus to Qilian County, six times a day, departure time: 08:15, 09:15, 10:15, 11:15, 12:30; 14:30.
2. Xining - Zhangye National Highway 227-Ebao Town-Eqi Highway-until the end.
3. Xining - Xihai Town, Haibei Prefecture (Jinyintan Grassland, also known as Atomic City) - Qilian - Huangjia Highway (from Huangyuan County to Jiayuguan, Gansu Province) - until the end.

Travel Tips
1. To enter the Zhuoer Mountain scenic area is to take a small minibus, because here the altitude is higher, and climbing is very laborious.
2. It is best to prepare for half a day to visit Zhuoer Mountain, you can go in the morning (you can see the sunrise in the morning), and play until noon to return to the county town for lunch. There are sightseeing cars in the scenic area that can reach the mountain from the gate, which is convenient for tourists of all ages.
3.Zhuoer Mountain is located on the top of the mountain, while Qilian temperature is generally low, the northwest morning and evening temperature difference is large, so it is recommended to bring thick clothes and long sleeves, especially to see the sunrise and stars tourists.
