Day 1Hangzhou

Today our driver and guide will meet you in Hangzhou. First, head to West Lake Cruise. West Lake was chosen as a National Key Scenic Resort in 1982, named one of Ten Scenic Resorts in 1985, and selected as a national 5A tourist resort in 2006. The West Lake Cruise is a beautiful, splendid journey. Watch the shimmering waters and the many passersby. Sit on the boat and enjoy the lakes and mountains. Relax and watch the beautiful green waves on the lake. After that, move to Lingyin Buddha Temple & Flying Peak. The scenic area includes Feilai Feng (Flying Peak) and Lingyin Temple. Feilai Feng faces the slopes of Lingyin Temple. Lingyin Temple has a history of more than 1600 years. The temple has a classical Jiangnan Temple layout. 

Afterwards, we will head to Longjing Tea Village (also known as Dragon Well Tea Village). It is more than 1200 years old and is the No. 1 tea in China. Longjing is also regarded as the “Green Queen”. Visit Longjing Tea plantations in Hangzhou to appreciate the charming verdant sightseeing and know more about the culture of tea and Chinese nation.

In the evening, drive to the hotel in Hangzhou downtown for overnight stay.

Day 2Wuzhen East Gate Scenic Area

Enjoy your breakfast in the hotel, today is an exciting day, and we will depart early this morning. Drive about 1.5 hours to Wuzhen East Gate Scenic Area, one of the most well-preserved ancient towns in China, located in Wuzhen, Zhejiang Province. It features traditional Chinese architectural styles such as Ming and Qing Dynasties' buildings, stone bridges, winding canals, and narrow alleyways. Visitors can explore the various attractions that reflect local customs, culture, and history, enjoy picturesque views, and experience a unique atmosphere of ancient China. Wuzhen East Gate is a must-visit attraction for anyone interested in Chinese culture and history. 

You will then move to the beautiful garden city – Suzhou where to discover numerous fantastic palaces. Drive about 1.5 hours, we will arrive at the first sight - Lingering Garden, which was built in the year of 1593 Ming Dynasty , the garden was selected to be one of the first batch of places enjoying the status of the key cultural and historical relic site under state-level protection. It has been known as one of the “Four Famous Classic Gardens”, and was included in UNESCO’s the World Cultural Heritage List in 1997. The year 2010 witnessed the garden added to the list of national 5A-level scenic areas.

Day 3Suzhou One day Tour

After breakfast, our driver and guide will meet you at the hotel. Our first stop today is Tiger Hill. According to the Historical Records, the King of Wu Helu was buried on the hill, called then "the Hill Emerging from the Sea". The legend goes that three days after his burial a white tiger appeared squatting on the hill. Hence the name. The Yunyan Temple Pagoda and the Sword Pool are well-known features of the hill. With a history going back more than 1,000 years, the simple, archaic and imposing Yunyan Temple Pagoda, also known as the Second Leaning Tower on earth, stands aloft at the top of the hill, serving as a symbol of ancient Suzhou for years, The Tomb of the Wu King Helu under the Sword Pool has remained an unsolved mystery for two and a half millennia. 

We will continue our journey by visiting the Humble Administrator's Garden, also known as the "Zhuo Zheng Yuan". It is one of the most famous Jiangnan style garden in China and also regarded as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was first built in the 16th century during the Ming dynasty and has since undergone several renovations and expansions. The garden covers an area of 52,000 square meters and is divided into three parts: the eastern garden, the central garden, and the western garden.

Later in the day, move to Pingjiang Road which is famous for its classical architecture, traditional teahouses, and small shops selling local handicrafts, snacks, and souvenirs. Visitors can stroll along the pedestrianized road, admire the well-preserved buildings, and experience the charm and tranquility of ancient Suzhou.

Day 4Shantang Street & Jinji Lake

Today is the last day of our tour. After breakfast, drive to Shantang Street, a famous historic and cultural street block in town. It used to be the most developed blocks of commerce and culture during the Ming and Qing dynasties of China. 

Then enjoy your afternoon in Jinji Lake, one of the largest inland lakes in China.The northern and western shores of the lake is concentrated on shopping and entertainment amenities.The green spaces are along the eastern and southern shore

In the evening, you will take a 2-hours’ driving to Shanghai Pudong airport. We look forward to seeing you again in another China trip.

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
