Day 1Shanghai Arrival

Today you will catch the flight to Shanghai. We will meet you at the airport with a welcome board, then bring you to the downtown hotel and check-in. Have a good rest.

Day 2Visit the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, take a stroll along the Bund, explore Nanjing Road, and visit the ERA show.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before meeting your guide and driver in the hotel lobby.

Next, visit the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, which is the third tallest TV tower in the world. The Transparent Sightseeing Gallery is located in the second main sphere of the tower. It has a circumference of 150 meters and a width of 2.1 meters, allowing tourists to enjoy a panoramic view of the Huangpu River through the transparent glass floor, giving the sensation of walking on clouds.

Afterward, take a stroll along the Bund to admire the architectural wonders and then explore Nanjing Road, known as China's No. 1 shopping street.

Later in the day, we will visit the ERA show to experience exciting performances, including bungee jumping, which are incorporated into a spectacular singing and dancing performance that offers the audience a rich visual and auditory experience.

Day 3Visit the Shanghai Museum, Yu Garden, and enjoy tea time at M50 Creative Park.

This morning, you will visit the Shanghai Museum, located in the center of Shanghai in People's Square. This large museum features an extensive collection of over 120,000 pieces of ancient Chinese art and artifacts. After visiting the Shanghai Museum, our tour guide will take you to Yu Garden, a classical garden built during the Ming Dynasty. 

Following the garden visit, you can stroll through Yuyuan Market to pick up some souvenirs for your family and friends. 

In the afternoon, we will enjoy tea time at M50 Creative Park, an innovative cultural and creative space that was once a factory.

Day 4Drive to Hangzhou, take a cruise on the West Lake and visit Longjing Tea Plantation.

After breakfast, drive about 2 hrs to Hangzhou, we will be taking a cruise on the West Lake to enjoy the beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The last stop is at Longjing Tea plantation, where you will have an opportunity to sample newly harvested tea.

Day 5Visit the UNESCO-listed Xitang Ancient Town, then drive to Wuxi.

Today, we will visit the UNESCO-listed Xitang Ancient Town, a place whose charm extends well beyond its natural beauty. With a rich history spanning over 1,000 years, Xitang has been the birthplace of many talents, including Yangmao, a renowned master of arts and crafts from the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368), and Gu Xidong, a famous playwright. Xitang is also on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List, making this trip not just a scenic journey but a deep dive into culture and history. In the evening, we will enjoy an amazing light show.

Day 6 Visit Nianhua Bay in Wuxi, then drive to Suzhou.

Today, we will visit Nianhua Bay in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, which is becoming a popular modern Buddhist resort for visitors seeking relaxation, meditation, and a slow-paced monastic lifestyle. 

A highlight of the resort is the stunning fields of flowers that surround the buildings. The thousands of blooming chrysanthemums have become a symbol of this peaceful destination.

In the afternoon, we will drive to Suzhou and take time to rest.

Day 7Visit the Panmen and Lingering Garden in Suzhou. Shanghai departure.

After breakfast, we will visit the Panmen, an important example of ancient architecture from the Yuan Dynasty. It has been listed as one of the sixth Important Historical Monuments under Special Preservation and is a notable landmark in Suzhou. 

Next, we will visit the Lingering Garden, one of the four famous gardens in China. This garden is renowned for its spatial design and showcases exceptional garden skills, the wisdom of the southern region, and the distinctive art of landscape architecture.

Finally, we will say farewell to Shanghai and take you to the airport for your journey back home. We wish you a pleasant trip!

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
