It is located 50 kilometers west of the city of Ningwu.
From Ningwu, we drive for approximately four hours, heading towards a land rich in historical charm and cultural heritage — Pingyao. Pingyao Ancient City, known as the cradle of Shanxi merchant culture, carries with it a profound history and abundant culture. Stepping into Ming and Qing Street, one feels as if they have been transported back to the Chinese Wall Street of two hundred years ago. This ancient street was once a gathering place for Shanxi merchants, where they conducted business transactions and created numerous commercial miracles. Walking along Ming and Qing Street, one is immersed in the bustling atmosphere of the Chinese Wall Street of the past, where merchants from all over gathered to conduct their trade and create a legacy of success.
Departing from Pingyao Ancient City, we embark on a four-hour journey to embark on a magnificent trip through history and nature, heading towards Hukou Waterfalls. This trip will take you to appreciate the splendor of the "Folk Forbidden City of Shanxi" — Wang's Grand Compound, as well as the magnificent momentum of Hukou Falls, where you can feel the grandeur and power of nature.
Our journey begins at Wang's Grand Compound, renowned as the "Folk Forbidden City of Shanxi." This compound was built in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty and has undergone more than three hundred years of vicissitudes, yet it still retains its former glory and grandeur. After leaving Wang's Grand Compound, we continue our drive to Hukou Falls. Located at the border of Shanxi and Shaanxi provinces, Hukou Falls is one of the largest yellow waterfalls in the world. Here, the river rushes down the canyon, creating a spectacular waterfall landscape.
Starting from the magnificent Hukou Falls, we will embark on a six-hour drive, traversing the mysterious and wonderful natural wonder of the Wave Valley, ultimately arriving at the revolutionary holy land of Yan'an. This journey will take you to appreciate the wonders of nature, created by the sandstone carved by the wind, water, and time over hundreds of years. After leaving Hukou Falls, we will drive to the Wave Valley. This mysterious land is renowned for its unique topography, as if it is an artwork carefully crafted by nature with endless patience and creativity.
Starting from the revolutionary holy land of Yan'an, we will embark on a journey of approximately 5.5 hours to a breathtaking natural wonder — the Yucha Canyon. This trip will take you to appreciate the wonders of nature crafted by the hands of Mother Nature over billions of years. This mysterious and magnificent place is a masterpiece sculpted by nature.
Upon entering the Yucha Canyon, you will be awestruck by the sight before you. The steep cliffs on both sides of the canyon are uniquely shaped, as if they were precisely cut by nature's skilled hands, creating numerous stone peaks, pillars, and caves of varying forms. Under the sun's rays, the textures on the cliff walls are clearly visible, resembling exquisite paintings crafted by nature for us to admire.
Xi'an, a city rich in historical charm, boasts numerous breathtaking historical sites and cultural landscapes. Among them, the Terracotta Warriors, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and the Tang Paradise are the iconic symbols of Xi'an. The Terracotta Warriors, hailed as the "Eighth Wonder of the World," vividly reproduce the magnificent scenes and formidable military might of the Qin Dynasty. These lifelike terracotta figures are not only a golden name card for the splendid civilization of ancient China, but also a treasure of human cultural heritage. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is the earliest and largest existing four-sided brick pagoda in the Tang Dynasty style. This ancient and solemn structure not only witnesses the prosperity and glory of the Tang Dynasty, but also embodies the crystallization of wisdom from the ancient Chinese working people.
