Day 1Arrive in Chengdu

Arrive in Chengdu, we will pick you up from the airport exit and drive you to the downtown hotel check-in.

Day 2Chengdu One-day Tour

Today we will have a full-day City tour. we will start exploring this city from  People's Park. The park was built in 1911. It is now a relaxing place for locals. Enjoy the delicacy scenery and appreciate various flower shows. Drinking tea at Heming Tea House is a must-do thing for you. Spend one afternoon, order a pot of tea, and do nothing but relax.

Later, you will dip into Kuan & Zhai Alley, a relatively well-preserved ancient street in the Qing Dynasty. It is a famous commercial and cultural pedestrian street in China. There are many delicious food, and you can enjoy your lunch here. We will also visit the Du Fu Thatched Cottage, The memorial originated as a temple dedicated to Du Fu that was built about a thousand years ago during the Song Dynasty (960–1279).

Day 3Visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding

In the morning, we went on a tour at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, also known as Chengdu Panda Base. This is the best possible environment for rearing and breeding pandas. Here, we were able to explore the daily lives of the cute pandas and see them eating bamboo during their active hours. After lunch, we took the fast train to Jiuzhaigou. The train stopped at Zhengjianguan, where we met the driver and continued with a 2.5-hour drive to Jiuzhaigou. We checked into the hotel and enjoyed a peaceful night.

Day 4Jiuzhaigou Valley

Morning full-day sightseeing in Jiuzhaigou, a nature reserve in the north of Sichuan. It is known for its many multi-level waterfalls and colorful lakes and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992. It belongs to category V (Protected Landscape) in the IUCN system of protected area categorization.

Day 5Huanglong

Say farewell to Jiuzhaigou and travel to visit the Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area (Walking up and getting off by the cable car), It is the only well-protected plateau wetland in China. The change of the surrounding scenery changes and the angle of the sunlight brings out the colorful color.

After visiting, We will take the fast train back to Chengdu. On the way, stop at Songpan Ancient City, known as Songzhou in ancient times, which is located in Jin'an Town, Songpan County, northeast of Aba Prefecture. It was built in the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty. An important station of mutual market". The ancient city of Songpan is ancient and quiet. You can walk or take a rickshaw to walk through the ancient buildings, looking for the traces of time left in this ancient city on the plateau, and feeling the thickness and vicissitudes of the ancient city. You can also climb up the ancient city tower and enjoy the magnificent scenery around you.

Day 6Leshan Giant Buddha

In the morning, we'll visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, also known as the Chengdu Panda Base, which provides the best possible environment for rearing and breeding pandas. You'll get to observe the daily life of these adorable animals and see them munching on bamboo during their active hours. After that, we'll drive to Leshan to see the Leshan Giant Buddha, which includes a cruise. This giant Buddha statue stands at a height of 71 meters and sits at the confluence of three rivers. It's the tallest stone Buddha statue in the world, carved into the cliff of Lingyun Mountain to control flooding. You can enjoy the amazing view of the huge statue as you descend narrow staircases to its feet. Later in the afternoon, we'll reach Mount Emei, check into the hotel, and take a leisurely walking tour of Baoguo Temple and Fuhu Temple.

Day 7Mount Emei

What a stupendous day, this morning, you will take a 2-hour sightseeing bus from Baoguo Temple Station to Leidongping and then walk about 30 minutes to Jieyin Palace to take the cable car up to Golden Summit to enjoy the spectacular natural scenery.

Descend by cable car and go to Wannian Temple Parking Lot by bus (about 1.5 hours). Here, you will visit the Wannian Temple, one of the first temples built on Mt. Emei, with a round-trip cable car. Watching people praying and doing offerings and listening to the chanting of the monks inside this ancient temple, you will get a sense of peace and serenity.

Day 8Dujiangyan

In the morning, we will head to Dujiangyan to witness the amazing Dujiangyan Irrigation System, a great technological achievement of ancient China. For over 2,300 years, this irrigation system has benefited the local people and prevented the Min River basin from annual flooding, making the ancient Shu State a famed 'land of abundance'. This system still plays an indispensable role in agriculture. After visiting Dujiangyan, we will return to Chengdu in the afternoon.

Day 9Jinsha Site Museum & Wuhou Shrine

Today, we are planning to visit the Jinsha Site Museum, which showcases the ruins of the 3000-year-old Shu kingdom. The museum includes the excavation site and impressive displays of artifacts dating back to between 1200 and 600 BC. After the visit, we will return to the city for lunch. In the afternoon, we plan to explore Wuhou Shrine, a significant site from the Three Kingdoms period. This shrine has been recognized as a national first-class museum and is included in the first group of major historical and cultural sites protected at the national level.

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
