Jiuzhaigou is a sapphire scattered on earth and a fairy tale wonderland. Strolling through the reserve you'll find that marvelous views take over your sight, it looks just like a wonderland in the fairy tales.

Songpan Ancient City

Songpan Ancient City, known as Songzhou in ancient times, is located in Jin'an Town, Songpan County, northeast of Aba Prefecture. It was built in the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty.which is ancient and quiet. You can walk or take a rickshaw to walk through the ancient buildings, looking for the traces of time left in this ancient city on the plateau, and feeling the thickness and vicissitudes of the ancient city.

Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area

It is the only well protected plateau wetland in China. With the change of the surrounding scenery changes and the angle of the sunlight brings out the colorful color.

Day 1Chengdu Arrival

After your airplane touch down in Chengdu Airport, you will take the taxi to the hotel booked by us. Then, the rest of day is free for you to explore this city.

Recommended sites:

①Chengdu Panda Base, which is the best possible environment for rearing and breeding.

②People's Park, which was built in 1911. It is now a relaxing place for locals.

③Kuan Zhai Alley, which is a famous commercial and cultural pedestrain street in China. There are a sea of yummy foods, and you can enjoy your Dinner here.

Day 2Chengdu - Jiuzhaigou

After lunch, we take the fast train to Jiuzhaigou, the train stops at Songpan. Then we meet the driver, and continue with the driving of 2hrs to Jiuzhaigou.

On the way, stop at Songpan Ancient City, which is located in Jin'an Town, Songpan County, northeast of Aba Prefecture. It was built in the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty. Here, you can walk or take a rickshaw to walk through the ancient buildings, looking for the traces of time left in this ancient city on the plateau and enjoy the magnificent scenery around you.

We will reach to Jiuzhaigou and check in in the evening.

Day 3Jiuzhaigou

Today we will have full day sightseeing in Jiuzhaigou, a nature reserve in the north of Sichuan. It is known for its many multi-level waterfalls and colorful lakes, and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992. It belongs to the category V (Protected Landscape) in the IUCN system of protected area categorization.

Day 4Jiuzhaigou - Chengdu

Say farewell to Jiuzhaigou and leave for Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area (walking up and get off by the cable car). It is the only well protected plateau wetland in China. With the change of the surrounding scenery changes and the angle of the sunlight brings out the colorful color.

In the afternoon, we will take the fast train back to Chengdu.

Day 5Chengdu Departure

Morning, we will drive to Leshan and pay a visit to the Leshan Giant Buddha (include cruise) with the height of 71 meter, sitting at the confluence of three rivers. It is the tallest stone Buddha statue in the world. It was carved on the cliff of Lingyun Mountain in order to suppress the flood. Enjoy spectacular view of the huge statue as you walking down through the narrow staircases to the foot of the Buddha.

In the afternoon, we will drive back to Chengdu.

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
