Shennv Stream is renowned for its "Three Wonders": tranquility, greenery, and crystal-clear waters. The stream winds through deep gorges, flanked by towering cliffs and lush vegetation, creating a serene and picturesque environment. Due to the perpendicular mountains, deep valleys and turbulent water, very few people reaches this area, so as the sceneries in it are still in a pristine state, thus worth visiting while you are cruising along the magnificent Yangtze Three Gorges.
A small motor boat will take you to the mysterious region. There are lots of beautiful natural sightseeing's. Some of them are so vivid that you would never believe.
Cultural Significance
The stream is named after the legendary Goddess Peak, one of the Twelve Peaks of Wushan, which is said to resemble a goddess gazing at the river. Local folklore tells of the Seven Fairies bathing in the stream, adding a mystical charm to the area.
The stream is also home to ancient hanging coffins and rock carvings, offering a glimpse into the region's historical and cultural heritage.

From Chongqing: Take a 2.5-hour bus ride to Wanzhou, then transfer to a fast ferry to Wushan (3 hours, CNY200). From Wushan, local buses or taxis can take you to the stream.
By Cruise: Many Yangtze River cruises include Shennv Stream as a stop, offering a convenient and scenic way to reach the site.
