7 Days Yunnan Group Tour: Dali, Lijiang, Shangri-la

Welcome to Yunnan! Today your flight will touch down in Dali — the first city in the itinerary. Upon arrival, tour guide and driver will pick you up at the airport exit, and then transfer you to hotel. The rest of today is for you to relax.

In the morning, our guide will lead you to explore Dali Ancient Town, which is one of the most outstanding areas of human cultural heritage. It is located in the border and has strong national culture. It is one of the first 24 famous historical and cultural cities announced by the state.

After that, we will drive 20km to Xizhou, join the Three-course Tea Ceremony, it is most popular among Bai people which is served for distinguished guests. Then, we continue our tour to Zhoucheng, various traditional customs are well preserved here. Visit a local Tie Dye Workshop, experience and make one by yourself. After, take the eco-friendly car to drive around and enjoy the sunset of Erhai Lake.

After breakfast, today we will keep traveling to Pudacuo Park, it is famous for well-preserved landscape, there are beautiful lakes, primitive forests, vast meadows, streams and more. 

Later, arrive at Shangrila, visit Dukezong Ancient Town, and Guishan Park with the world biggest prayer wheel. Climb up to the temple on the top, enjoy the panoramic view of the city. At night, you can join locals dancing in the square.

After breakfast, we will head to Songzanlin Monastery to see the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan, the castle like complex is also known as Little Potala Palace, experience the mystery and traditions of Tibetan Buddhism. 

Later, continue our tour to a must-seen sites in Yunnan —— Tiger Leaping Gorge, the deepest gorge in the world, visit Upper Gorge, enjoy the 2.6-kilometer along Jinsha River and the stone trail. 

Then, drive to Tea-Horse Inn and start to hike to Half Way. Along the way, enjoy the magnificent canyon scenery and step on the path at the edge of the cliff. After about 2.5 hours hiking, we will arrive at Half Way for overnight stay. 

After breakfast, today our tour will start from a light hiking from Half Way to Tina's and it takes around 3 hours. Along the way, relax yourself and enjoy views of the towering snow-capped mountains, and embrace the small waterfall through the village and up a winding path. After that, take the vechile to drive to Lijiang. 

After enjoying a nice breakfast, today we head to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, take 25 minutes' cableway to Glacier Park, you will see the vegetations changes with ascending altitude. 

Walk along the plank road to reach 4680m and appreciate the fairyland with ice and snow. Take cableway down, drive to visit Blue Moon Valley with turquoise-colored water. 

Afterwards, drive to Yuhu Village, enjoy its unique architecture and culture seen nowhere else. The national geographic explorer-Joseph Rock stayed here over 20 years, visit the museum which was turned by his former residence.
