Day 1Amazing Place for Panda Lovers

Welcome to Chengdu, a well-known city for lovely giant pandas, and delicious Sichuan food like hotpot. It is a large but relaxed city, with many natural, cultural, and historical sights in and around it. Follow our professional tour guide, and your jouney of Chengdu will make an good impression on your mind.


This Morning your guided tour will begin with a visit to see a lovely giant panda in the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. It is the only panda base in China. If you are animal lovers, this tour is an ideal one for you. You will enjoy this cheerful morning with this endangered and rare lovely bears. Followed by a trip to the Wenshu Monastery where you can sit in its tea house for a cup of traditional Chinese tea.

Walkthrough the Jinli Old Street to admire the architecture and unique local fun. Enjoy Sichuan cuisine for dinner at a local restaurant this evening.

Day 2Drive to Leshan Giant Buddha (144 kms)

Spend two-hour drive and visit Leshan Giant Buddha, which is a huge statue carved into the side of Lingyun Mountain. Taller by 17 meters than the standing Buddha in Afghanistan, the Leshan Giant Buddha is the tallest and largest Buddha in the world. It is carved on the cliff of Lingyun Mountain with a delicate design of drainage system. There is a local saying: "The mountain is a Buddha and the Buddha is a mountain". It was included by UNESCO on the list of World Heritage sites.

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
