Day 1Mount Wuyi Arrival (Fri.)

Welcome to Wuyi Mountain! Your local tour guide will meet you at the hotel in Wuyi.

Leisure time for the rest of the day.

Day 2Tianyou Peak Hiking - Nine Bend River Rafting - Wuyi Palace (Sat.)

After breakfast, we will meet you at the hotel and then start you discovery of Wuyi Mountain! 

First, climb up the  Tianyou Peak, stand on the great observation deck to have a bird view of the tens and hundreds of red Danxia mountains with lush forests, bending green stream. You can also immerse into the wondrous sightseeing of frequent mists lingering after rain. 

Your afternoon tour starts with your drifting down the Nine Bend Stream about 1.5 hours.  Followed by is a cultural visit to the over 1,000-year old Wuyi Palace.  

After visiting, back to your hotel.

Day 3Tiger Roaring Rock - One-Line-Sky Scenic Area - Longchuan Grand Canyon (Sun.)

After breakfast, you’ll explore the Tiger Roaring Rock to challenge the precipitous stone steps leaning on the bold cliff and hear the interesting shocking sound of wind blowing through the cave. Also, admire the panoramic view of the flourishing mountains and peaks at its good location!

Next we will visit The One-Line-Sky  area,which is the southernmost area of the Wuyi Mountains. This area is famous for the linear view of the sky from the bottom of the valley. The red mountain peaks, clustering like a forest, the vertically steep Danxia landform, the rare consecutive caves and topography are nature's beauty at its best.

After that,we will go visit Longchuan Grand Canyon. The Longchuan Grand Canyon is full of vegetation and beautiful scenery. The waterfall flows down the mountain. Under the illumination of the sun, the mountain body of Danxia reflects the charming colorful halo.

Your guide and driver will escort you to the airport/train station to catch the flight/train to your next destination. Tour ends!

  • We will upgrade trains to 1st class where available if book the tour 5 months in advance of departure.

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
