Three lanes and seven alleys is a tourist resort with a long history and profound cultural heritage. Located in the center of Fuzhou, it covers an area of about 45 hectares and has three lanes and seven alleys, hence the name "three lanes and seven alleys". The three lanes and seven alleys began in the Jin Dynasty, developed in the Tang Dynasty and five dynasties, and reached its peak in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Today, it still retains the ancient lane style and is known as "the Museum of the Buildings of the Ming and Qing Dynasty". It is a historical and cultural district with large scale and complete protection in China. It is a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level, China's top ten historical and cultural streets, and a national 5A-level tourist attraction.
Three lanes consist of Guanglu Lane, Wenru Lane and Yijin Lane; and Seven Alleys includes Jibi Alley, Gongxiang Alley, Taxiang Alley, Huangxiang Alley, Anmin Alley, Langguan Alley and Yangqiao Alley. It boasts more than 200 ancient buildings preserved in the lane, including nine Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level, and a large number of provincial and municipal cultural preservation units and historical protection buildings.

Former Residence of Lin Juemin and Bing Xin
Located at No. 17 Yangqiao Alley, it is a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level. The former residence was originally inhabited by seven houses (including Lin Changmin) of the ancestors of Lin Juemin. After the martyrdom of Lin Juemin's Guangzhou uprising, the Lin family moved away from the disaster, and the house was sold to Bing Xin's grandfather Xie Luanen. The Xie family lived there until the 1950s. Bing Xin lived here when he was 11 or 12 years old.

Former Residence of Yan Fu
Tan Fu's former residence is located at No. 20, Langguan Alley, it is a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level. The house is divided into two parts: the main seat and the flower hall. The main seat is a typical Fuzhou ancient residence, and the flower hall is a Chinese and Western architecture of the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. It was built during the reign of Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty with a history of more than 140 years.

Located in Yijin Lane, it is a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level, it was built in the Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 400 years. The Flower Hall stage has witnessed the brilliance of Fuzhou drama. The stage faces the water on three sides, separates the patio, and faces the pavilion.

Little Yellow Tower
Located in Huang Alley, it is a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level. Built in the late Ming Dynasty, the existing house was built by Liang Zhangju during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty. The house has carved beams and painted rafters. The courtyard has several beautiful garden views, which have a unique charm.
Former Residence of Guo Baiyin
In the Yellow Alley, there is such a house, writing the glorious history of a family, it is the former residence of Guo Baiyin. The house is an ancient house laid out in line, with both the architectural style of the Ming and Qing dynasties.

Architectural Feature
The architectural style of three lanes and seven alleys is mainly based on southern Fujian architecture while integrating the characteristics of Jiangnan architecture. Most buildings of Three Lanes and Seven Alleys are brick and wood structures, the roof is covered with black glazed tiles, and the walls are mudbrick. In addition, another remarkable feature of the residential houses is the saddle wall. The saddle wall serves the purpose of fire prevention and adds to the beauty and grandeur of the building, making it a significant characteristic of the architecture of Three Lanes and Seven Alleys.
