Day 1Arrive in Shenyang

Embark on a new adventure today as you board a flight to Shenyang. Upon your arrival, our team will be there to greet you, escorting you from the airport to your hotel for a smooth check-in process. For the rest of the day, relax in the comforts of your hotel room or explore the city of Shenyang on your own, soaking up its unique charm and culture. Enjoy your leisure time and look forward to the exciting days ahead!

Day 2Visit Shenyang Imperial Palace and Former Residence of Zhang Xueliang - Drive to Panjin

After a satisfying breakfast, we embark on a journey to Shenyang, a city rich in history and culture. Our first stop is the magnificent Shenyang Imperial Palace, situated gracefully at No. 171, Shenyang Road, Shenhe District. This palace stands as the sole remaining royal abode in China, apart from the illustrious Forbidden City in Beijing. Its main structure was erected in 1625 under the reign of Nurhachi and completed in 1636 by his son, Abahai (Huangtaiji). Both Nurhachi and Abahai were the founding fathers of the illustrious Qing Dynasty.

Next, we traverse to the Former Residence of Zhang Xueliang, a testament to the man who once ruled over Manchuria and vast swathes of northern China following the tragic assassination of his father. This mansion, a harmonious blend of Chinese and Western architectural styles, stands as the finest preserved large architectural complex in Northeast China.

After a delicious lunch in Shenyang, we continue our journey to Panjin, where we will spend the night, rejuvenating for the adventures that await us tomorrow.

Day 3Visit Red Beach Scenic Spot - Drive to Dalian

In the morning, After the delightful buffet, start the trip off with the Red Beach Scenic Spot, it has a rare red beach and the world's largest reed reed, depicting the pure ecological nature. As the seasons change, the beach will change from light red to fiery red to purple. Through Panjin Oilfield, you will see the Panjin oilfield percussion machine in the endless field scene of oil production.

After visiting, we will transfer to Dalian.

Day 4Visit City Square, Tiger Beach Ocean Park, and Beida Bridge - Drive to dandong

Today, our first stop is City Square, an open-air plaza nestled in the southwest corner of Dalian. Not only is it a pivotal construction project honoring the return of Hong Kong to China's sovereignty, but it also stands as one of the city's most iconic landmarks. Among its many attractions, the Centennial City Sculpture captivates our attention. This monument, erected in 1999 on the southern shores of Xinghai Square, commemorates the centenary of Dalian's founding.

Next, we head to Tiger Beach Ocean Park, a sprawling modern resort occupying a prime location on the central southern coast of Dalian. Boasting a total area of 1,180,000 square meters and a breathtaking coastline stretching over 4,000 meters, it is China's largest lido. Inside, we'll be treated to a tapestry of natural wonders and awe-inspiring man-made sights, particularly the Tigers Sculpture Square and the Tiger Beach Polar Region Marine Animals World. As a multifaceted ocean park, Tiger Beach specializes in tourism, recreation, and shopping, making it a cherished destination for the locals of Dalian.

Lastly, we make our way to the magnificent Beida Bridge, whose name translates to "North Grand." This 228-meter, three-span steel suspension bridge commands a breathtaking view over the beach scenic area. After soaking in its grandeur, we'll transfer you to your hotel in Dandong, where you can rest and reflect on the day's adventures.

Day 5Visit Yalu River Broken Bridge and Great Wall of Hushan - Drive to Tonghua

After breakfast, we'll visit the Yalu River Broken Bridge in Dandong. This bridge, originally constructed in 1909, spans the Yalu River but was unfortunately bombed by an American aircraft during the Korean War. It stands as a testament to history, with its 944.2-meter length, 11-meter width, and four remaining holes on the Chinese side. As we cruise the serene Yalu River, we'll take in its natural beauty. Afterward, we'll ascend the Great Wall of Hushan. Then, we'll journey to Tonghua to check into our hotel and unwind with a well-deserved rest.

Day 6Visit Changbai Mountain Scenic Spot

After breakfast, we'll embark on a journey to Changbai Mountain Scenic Spot. Our highlight will be Tianchi, also known as Heavenly Lake, a stunning crater lake that feeds the Songhua, Tumen, and Yalu Rivers. This mountain is also rich in history, as the birthplace of the Manchu, Korean, and Han cultures.

As we explore further, we'll come across the Chengcha River, flowing gently before cascading down a 68-meter cliff in a thunderous rush—the famous Changbai Waterfall, the world's tallest volcanic waterfall. Viewing it from afar, it appears like a white ribbon suspended in the air. As we draw closer, the roar of the waterfall fills the air, and its mist brings a refreshing chill.

For a panoramic view of this spectacular sight, we can ascend to Heifengkou on the main peak, though the constant gales may make the journey challenging. Once there, the breathtaking vista awaits.

After this exciting day, we'll transfer to Baihe for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 7Drive to Jilin - Visit Jilin Manchu Museum, Beishan Park, and Century Square

After breakfast, we'll journey to Jilin. Lunch awaits at a local restaurant, and then our tour begins at the Jilin Manchu Museum. This preserved quadrangle dwelling showcases the rich history of the Manchu people in Jilin, featuring historical materials and cultural relics that bring their folklife to life.

Next, we'll explore Beishan Park, a serene urban oasis. The verdant peaks and mountains contrast with the lotus flowers that bloom profusely in the lake during summer. This garden has been a popular destination for spring walks, summer retreats, and lotus appreciation for centuries.

Our final stop is Century Square, a landscape garden that reflects the unique character of Jilin City. The square boasts a museum complex, a dry fountain, a national flag platform, a towering "ship of the century" monument, a musical fountain, and a riverfront viewing platform. The museum complex serves as an ornamental backdrop, adding beauty to the southern section of the square.

Day 8Drive to Changchun - Visit Jingyue Lake and Museum of the Imperial Palace of the Manchu State

This morning, we'll drive from Jilin to Changchun. Our first stop is Jingyuetan National Forest Park, home to Jingyue Lake, named for its crescent shape, resembling Taiwan's Sun Moon Lake. The scenic spot boasts a complete artificial forest ecosystem with 30 tree species, earning it the titles of "Asia's largest artificial forest sea," "green pearl sea," and "urban oxygen bar," representing Changchun's ecological heart and city pride.

Next, we'll visit the Museum of the Imperial Palace of the Manchu State, once the residence of China's last emperor, Puyi, and the headquarters of the Japanese-puppet Manchukuo government from 1932 to 1945. This museum in Changchun, Jilin Province, offers a glimpse into a dark chapter of China's history.

Day 9Drive to Harbin - Visit Volga Manor

We will drive to Harbin after breakfast. Upon arrival, pay a visit to Volga Manor, a Russian-themed country park located in the southeast suburban district of Harbin. The area includes a large swath of grasslands and forests, many Russian-style buildings, including bridges and castles, and many European-style sculptures. It is filled with the enchanting atmosphere of a faraway land.

Day 10Harbin City Tour

Today, we'll visit St. Sophia Cathedral in Harbin, the Far East's largest Eastern Orthodox Church. Standing 53.3 meters tall and spanning 721 square meters, it was designated a national cultural relic in 1996 and later restored as the Harbin Art Gallery. 

After that, we'll head to the Flood Control Memorial Tower, a striking monument with a Russian-inspired design. It commemorates the city's triumph over a devastating flood in 1957.

Next up is Stalin Park, a lush summer oasis perfect for a leisurely stroll. From there, we'll traverse Zhongyang Dajie, Harbin's "Eastern Moscow" street famous for its European-style buildings spanning Renaissance, Baroque, and Eclecticism.

Finally, our tour concludes at the century-old Binzhou Railway Bridge, a historical landmark that completes our journey through Harbin's rich cultural tapestry.

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
