Day 1Zhangjiajie Arrival

Today your flight will touch down in Zhangjiajie. We will meet you at the airport exit with a welcome board. Then a comfortable drive will send you to the local hotel for checking in. The rest of the day is free to explore the city on your own. Rest up and get ready for tomorrow's adventure!

Day 2take photos in Yellow Stone Village, then hike along the Golden Whip Stream

Good morning! Enjoy this day in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and we will first visit the Yellow Stone Village, with an altitude of more than 1200 meters. This area, surrounded by knife like cliffs, is the best and largest viewing platform overlooking the sandstone peak forest landscape, and also the best choice to watch the sunrise.

Then admire one of the most beautiful valleys in the world - the Golden Whip Stream. From here the peaks appear to shoot up into the sky like giant natural skyscrapers. The water in the stream is clear, the air pure and the site very well maintained. We will have a relaxing hiking along the stream.

After visiting, back to the hotel for overnight stay. Have a good rest!

Day 3be amazed by the Yellow Dragon Cave, then enjoy leisure time in Baihutang

Today is a good day, in the morning, we will head to visit Yellow Dragon Cave, which is a typical karst landform, renowned for its vast three-dimensional cave space, rich cave landscapes, and a combination of water and land tourism routes, earning it the reputation of being a "wonder of karst caves in the world".

After that, enjoy a leisure time in Baihutang. The name might stem from a time when the place was infested with so many white tigers that people feared venturing in. Left undisturbed, the scenery along the banks of the stream and the wildflowers blooming on the secluded paths remained untouched, offering a pristine beauty to be savored at a leisurely pace. Here, the waterfalls hang gracefully between the mountains like silver threads, their spray scattering like mist and smoke. It is a sight that not only captivates your eyes but also touches your soul, reminding you of the grandeur and magnificence of this natural world.

Day 4admire Tianzi Mountain, enjoy Yuanjiajie, try thrilling Bailong Elevator, then Zhangjiajie Departure

Start today's exploration to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, and you will see one of the best attractions here -- Tianzi Mountain. Ascend the mountain by cable-car and at the top and you will be able to enjoy views of Warrior Taming Horse Rock and the Western Sea which are two of the most stunning mountain formations in the whole park and are really a pleasure to see. 

Then take shuttle bus to the top of Yuanjiajie area, which is now famous for Avatar shooting base. From here, you'll stand at the same level with the mid-age pillars, which is bigger than those on Tianzi mountain. Next, take the world's fastest elevator -- Bailong elevator down. Although 88 seconds seem like a fleeting moment, it takes you more than 300 meters straight up, giving you the sense of flying into the sky and entering a utopian paradise.

After visiting, we will drive you to the airport to catch a night flight back to your sweet home. It has been a great holiday and we look forward to seeing you another China tour!

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
