Day 1Wangxiangu Valley

Welcome to Jiangxi! After arriving in the morning, you will be met by your guide and driver at the train station. Then we will have 1 hour driving to the Wangxiangu Valley. On the way you'll be amazed by the unique Hui style architectures. You will have a wonderful afternoon in the valley. No matter strolling around the bamboo sea or even just sit beside the clear brook, the peaceful and beautiful valley will wipe away the dust from cities and tiredness from work.

Later in the day, when night falls, don’t be shocked, the dotted small lights in somewhere you didn’t noticed will suddenly be lighted up! And the whole valley will be changed into a fairyland for a second. Choose a higher place and overlook the valley, the permeating fog and shadowing clouds will tell you why such a stunning scenery is always be preferred by the traditional Chinese painting.

Day 2Visit the Sanqingshan Mountain

Today we will go from valley to mountain. After breakfast, we will head to Sanqingshan Mountain, one of the most famous Taoist mountains. As the indigenous religion of China, Taoism believes that man must be an integral part of nature, so it highly values the nature environment for believers’ practice. No wonder that the nature scenery in Sanqingshan is predominant in that area.

We will start our exploration of the essential parts of the mountain from Nanqingyuan Scenic Area. You will see many grotesque stones on the way, shaping like python snake and goddess. Then go ahead to the Sunshine Coast Scenic Area where to have the widest view of the whole mountain area.  After hiking for 2 to 3 hours, we will arrive in the last stop today – the West Coast Scenic Area. Walk through the grand canyon and visit various Taoist temples there. And tomorrow you will know why we end our day in the West Coast. (Depending on your energy, you can choose whether to take cable car or not).

Day 3Visit the Wuyuan Spot Area

Have the wonders you experienced yesterday gone on to your dream? Today you will wake up in the arms of Sanqingshan mountain. Breathing the freshest and sweetest air, take your backpack and let’s continue our exciting exploration! West Coast is regarded as the best place to appreciate cloud sea and sunrise, so if the weather permit, you will see the most spectacular scenes in Sanqingshan.

We will say good bye to Sanqingshan mountain after hiking for a while. The next fascinating spot is in Wuyuan which is voted as the most beautiful village in China. Driving about 1.5 hours, you will see the 500 year-old village in Huangling Hill. From the foot to the top of the hill, you will see the uninterrupted green hills and mountains and terraces layer after layer. After enjoying your lunch in Huangling with the freshest local ingredients, we will go further east to the famous “Porcelain Capital” – Jingdezhen! On the way we will pay a visit to the 800 year-old Rainbow Bridge, almost the oldest, longest and most beautiful covered bridge in China.

Day 4Visit the Jingdezhen

Today we will have a full day exploring the mystery of porcelain making. In the morning, fresh up yourself in Taoxichuan Ceramic Art Avenue where many art galleries and small museums are located in. There are also a wonderful market where people gathered to sell and buy handicrafts and some unique home-made porcelain that cannot be seen in other places.

Afterwards, We will drive to the Ancient Kiln Porcelain Expo. There are hundreds of amazing kilns with the oldest kiln dating back to Song dynasty (1000 years ago) and they are still working today! The oldest porcelain workshop and producing line as well as the most sophisticated modern artworks will show you why the porcelain in China is world widely renowned. You will also have a chance to experience pottery making and take your DIY pottery home. Later in the day, say goodbye to Jiangxi. You will be transferred to the train station to take the high-speed train back. Hope you a pleasant journey! We will be very glad to see you again in other places of China for your next trip!

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
