Changbai Mountain North Slope and Tianchi

Tianchi Lake is surrounded by the sixteen peaks of Changbai Mountain, and leans against the main peak of Changbai Mountain. The lake is about 4400m long from north to south and 3370m wide from east to west. The elevation of its water is 2189.1m, which is more than 200m higher than Tianchi Lake in Tianshan, Xinjiang. It is the highest and deepest volcanic lake in China.

Harbin Ice and Snow World

Harbin Ice and Snow World, founded in 1999, is a large-scale ice and snow art project launched to welcome the millennium celebration of the Shenzhou Century Tour. Taking advantage of Harbin's ice and snow season, it showcases the ice and snow culture and tourism charm of the famous northern city Harbin.

Sun Island Scenic Area

There are in total 8 scenic spots related to the "sun" in the Sun Island Scenic Area, namely "Sun Stone", "Sun Gate", "Sun Bridge", "Sun Lake", "Sun Mountain", "Sun Waterfall", "Sun Bathing Platform" and "Sun Dance".

Day 1Shenyang Arrival

Today your flight will touch down in Shenyang. We will meet you at the airport exit with a welcome board, then transfer to the local hotel and check in. The rest of the day is free for you to explore this city.

Day 2Shenyang Sightseeing

Morning have breakfast at hotel, then we will start our one-day Shenyang city tour. We are going to visit Shenyang Imperial Palace and Commander Zhang's Mansion.

Shenyang Imperial Palace is one of only two complete palace complexes that remain in China. It served as the imperial palace during the Later Jin dynasty, but became a regional palace after the capital of the Qing dynasty. The Zhang Xueliang Former Residence Attraction includes the former residence museum where Zhang Xueliang, the young marshal, lived in Tianjin for 7 years in the southern area, and the northern area, which restores the style of Tianjin city in the 1920s and 1930s and the miniature real-life block of Tianjin city.

Day 3Shenyang - Changbaishan

Today we will take the bullet train from Shenyang North to Changbaishan. We will pay a visit to the Devildom Scenery Area (Mojie Scenic Area). The Mojie Scenic Area is a dense section of forest located at the northern foot of the Changbai Mountains. The hot spring waters that flow down from Changbai Mountain's Tianchi Lake form this area's water system and unique climate. The interaction between water and forest in the misty landscape is like a fairyland. Winter is a particularly spectacular time, as the landscape is especially beautiful beneath layers of fog.

Day 4Changbaishan - Harbin

After breakfast, we will start the exciting journey with Changbai Mountain North Slope Scenic Area. The North Slope Scenic Area is also known as Changbai Mountain's Tianchi. There are many classical geological wonders such as the Changbai Mountain Waterfall, the Julong Hot Springs and the Gudi (Valley Floor) Forest Ocean.

In the afternoon, take the bullet train to Harbin and visit the Harbin Ice And Snow World. The attraction holds an annual ice and snow theme carnival, opening from the Christmas to early March. Here, you can admire the beautiful ice sculptures and snow sculptures that light up at night, and enjoy a variety of snow-themed entertainment.

Day 5Harbin Sightseeing

Morning enjoy breakfast at hotel and visit the Sun Island Scenic Area. The Sun Island International Snow Sculpture Art Expo is located in the Sun Island Scenic Area. During the expo you can enjoy a variety of large snow sculptures made by Chinese and foreign artists. These snow sculptures are exquisite and full of artistic senses. We may have the opportunity to see the artist's live production process and the outstanding works they have completed.

In the afternoon, stroll on the Central Street, visit the Memorial Tower and St. Sophia Cathedral. St. Sophia Cathedral is one of the most famous Eastern Orthodox cathedrals in Harbin and also one of the iconic buildings in Harbin. This cathedral not only holds significant religious importance, but also serves as an important historical and cultural site.

Day 6Harbin Departure

Today we will end the enjoyable Harbin and Shenyang tour. We will arrange the airport transfer for you. Wish you have a pleasant journey home!

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
