Today, a scenic 3-hour drive brings you to the breathtaking Qinghai Lake, China's largest inland saltwater lake. Check into your lakeside hostel, then set off on a trek along the shimmering shores. Today's trek takes you through dramatic landscapes—ascend steep gullies, traverse boulder fields, and cross the rushing Tsotup Chu stream. As the sun sets, settle into a cozy campsite in a herder's field, surrounded by the whispers of the wilderness.
Follow the Tsotup Chu downstream, then challenge yourself with the climb to Chitu La Pass. The reward? A breathtaking descent into a secluded valley where your campsite awaits. Spend the evening under a star-studded sky, embraced by the tranquility of the Tibetan highlands.

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd.
