Xiling Gorge

Xiling Gorge: The Impressive Landscape of the Three Gorges

Xiling Gorge, the longest of the Yangtze River's Three Gorges, stretches 66 kilometers from Xiangxi Estuary in Zigui County to Nanjin Pass in Yichang, Hubei Province. Renowned for its rugged cliffs, turbulent rapids, and unspoiled natural beauty, it is often hailed as the "Gateway to the Three Gorges" and a cradle of Chu culture. Divided into four sections—Xiangxi Wide Valley, Upper Xiling Wide Valley, Miaonan Wide Valley, and Lower Xiling Canyon—the gorge combines breathtaking landscapes with rich historical and literary heritage.
