This airport is about 35 kilometers, 50 minutes' drive to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.
From the 17th of December 2024, Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport has become an entry port for the 240-hour visa-free transit, which means that travellers from Russia, Brazil, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, etc. can fly to Zhangjiajie and stay for 10 days without obtaining a Chinese visa in advance.
Travelers from Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain etc. do not have to worry about the visa either, because you are in the 30-day visa-free list.
You can also fly to Changsha (Huanghua International Airport), the capital city of Hunan province, and transfer to Zhangjiajie.

High-Speed Train: Zhangjiajie West Station
Every day, there are more than 30 trains from Changsha to Zhangjiajie. It takes about 2~3 hours to get to Zhangjiajie West from Changsha. The fastest train takes only 1 hour 52 minutes.
There are high-speed trains (G/D) from Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shaoguan, Hefei, Nanchang, Chongqing, Chengdu, Beijing, Xi'an to Zhangjiajie.
