Day 1Arrive in Nyingchi, visit Yani River forest wetland and Nyingtri Cypress Forest, then move on to the Lulang Forests, drive to Bomi.

Take a flight to Nyingchi Mainling Airport. Upon arrival, your driver/guide will greet you with a traditional Tibetan white scarf (called "Hada"). After we have arranged the proper credentials, we'll proceed to the Yani River forest wetland and the 2,600-year-old Nyingtri Cypress Forest, pass through the Sela area, and then move on to the aboriginal Lulang Forests. Beneath perennially snow-capped mountains, providing incredible scenery no matter what season it is. At night we arrived in Bomi and stayed overnight here.

Day 2 Visit Midui Glacier and Rawok Lake

This morning we will head to visit The Midui Glacier is located 50 kilometers from Bomi County and is formed by the convergence of world-class icefalls. It is one of China's three major maritime glaciers and the world's lowestaltitude glacier. The glacier shines like jade and forms. Afterwards, we will head to Rawok Lake, located in southwestern Basu County. Rawok Lake is the main headstream of the Yarlung Tsangpo River, fed by the famous Laigu Glacier that extends down to the side of the lake. This beautiful lake is bounded on both sides by grassy lands filled with unique plant life, which makes for fantastic photos with the colorful plants contrasting with the snow-covered mountains in the background of the Laigu Glacier. And we will overnight in Laigu Glacier Park

Day 3In-depth Laigu Glacier Adventure, visit Blueice Lake and the Yalong Glacier, then return to Bomi.

Today, we will embark on an in-depth Laigu Glacier Adventure, which encompasses a group of glaciers. You have the option of visiting Blueice Lake and the Yalong Glacier, which is particularly impressive. The "Yalong glacier" stretches for 12 kilometers, extending from the main peak of Gangri Gabu mountain at an altitude of 6606 meters to Gangri Gabu Lake at an altitude of 4 kilometers. In the afternoon, we will return to Bomi.

Day 4Enjoy the Guxiang Lake, then drive to Basumtso Lake.

Early in the morning, we wake up in the Bomi Hotel, we will enjoy the serene beauty of Guxiang Lake at dawn. Then, continue eastward from Bomi County, enjoying the picturesque landscapes reminiscent of a County, afterwards we will follow the upstream of the Nyang River to reach the breathtaking Basumtso Lake. Basumtso Lake is a heavenly place on Earth, combining snow-capped mountains, lakes, forests, temples, wildlife, and villages. It is a renowned sacred lake and holy site in the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism. Spend the afternoon capturing the beauty of the area, and you can choose to hike or ride horses within the scenic area.

Day 5 Go to the picturesque Gongdelin Grassland, then head to visit Sijin Lhatso, and finally to Zedang.

Travel to the cultural birthplace of Tibet, Shannan, and stop for lunch in Bome. Then we will go to the picturesque Gongdelin Grassland, where the landscape resembles a paradise for nomads. Experience the pastoral beauty with playful foals, leisurely yaks, and the enchanting nomadic lifestyle. We will also visit Sijin Lhatso, which means "Longwang Linghu" in Tibetan. It is a powerful god lake, surrounded by peaks, and is like a treasure tray. This lake holds mysterious legends, and the local people worship it with devout hearts. The traditional turn to the lake became the way for the locals to admire the gods. Finally, we will reach Zedang for a well-deserved rest.

Day 6Drive to visit Yamdrok Lake, then see the Mt. Nyenchen from the Karol la Pass.

This morning we'll take a drive up to the Kampala Pass (elevation 4797 meters) where you'll have a glimpse of Yamdrok Lake down below as well as spectacular views of the holy Mount Nyenchen Khangsar in the distance.  You will want to have your camera ready for the turquoise waters of Yamdrok Lake, which is one of the three holy lakes of Tibet, and the beautiful Mt. Nyenchen Khangsar glacier as seen from the Karol la Pass.  Later on, we'll be able to visit the Karola Glacier.

Day 7Drive along the New Zigzag road to Everest Base Camp

In the morning, we will pass Tsola Pass (4600m) and Gyatsola Pass (5248m). Shortly after, we will enter Mt. Everest National Nature Reserve where you can enjoy the panorama of the Himalayas at Gawula Pass (5198m). Then we will drive along the New Zigzag road to Everest Base Camp (5200m). You can get closer to gaze at Mt. Everest Peak and, if time and weather permit, enjoy the sunset of Golden Everest Peak at the lodging area.

We will stay overnight at a tent or Rongbuk Monastery guest house.

Day 8See the sunrise of Everest Peak, visit the Rongbuk Monastery, then drive back to Shigatse.

In the morning, you can see the sunrise of Everest Peak if the weather permits at the lodging area. Then we will visit the Rongbuk Monastery - the unique highest monastery with nuns and monks living together. Finally, we will drive back to Shigatse. Visit the Night Market.

Day 9Take the train to Lhasa, Free day in Lhasa

Today you will take the train to Lhasa, and the rest of the day is free for you. Take the photo in Tibetan dress is suggested.

Day 10Admire World Heritage Potala Palace, Leisure time at Bakhor Street

The tour will start at the UNESCO World Heritage site - Potala Palace, the winter palace of the Dalai Lama. Situated at 12,139 feet above sea level, it is a 13-story high building containing over 1,000 rooms, various statues, stupas, murals, and artifacts.

In the afternoon, you can take Tibetan-style photos on Bakhor Street, the most famous commodity street in Lhasa. It is also an ancient and sacred place in Lhasa where you can spend leisure time.

Day 11Depart from Lhasa

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
