Wanfenglin (Wanfeng Forest) Scenic Area, is a natural wonderland renowned for its numerous karst peaks that form a literal forest of towering summits. This remarkable landscape, covering a vast area of 2000 square kilometers, is one of the three most significant karst landforms in southwestern China, stretching over 200 kilometers in length and 30 to 50 kilometers in width. As the largest peak forest composed of typical karst formations in China, Wanfenglin Scenic Area is often referred to as a karst museum, offering a fascinating glimpse into the natural world's geological diversity.

Wanfenglin Scenic Area enjoys a delightful climate, ideally suited for habitation. Wanfenglin scenic area has a subtropical monsoon humid climate with abundant rainfall. With an average annual temperature hovering between 16℃ and 18℃, the area escapes severe winters and avoids oppressive summer heatwaves, making it a prime destination for escaping the summer heat. As a result of its favorable weather conditions, Wanfenglin Scenic Area has been designated as a National Summer Resort, attracting visitors from all over to enjoy its natural beauty and refreshing climate.


How to Tour in Wanfenglin Scenic Area

Wanfenglin Scenic Area offers two convenient entrances for tourists. The north gate provides access to the main scenic area via a charming little train ride, offering a scenic journey in itself. Alternatively, from Xu Xiake Square, visitors can hop on a sightseeing bus that will whisk them into the heart of the area, ready to embark on an exciting tour. The fixed sightseeing bus route ensures that visitors can easily traverse the scenic area, stopping at each attraction in turn. These buses not only transport you to the various spots but also provide a comfortable ride back to the front gate, ensuring a seamless experience.
