2.Preservation of cultural heritage. Huangshan is home to numerous historical buildings and cultural relics. Visitors are not allowed to write, carve, or damage any structures, monuments, rocks, bamboo, or trees.
3.Appropriate attire for mountain climbing. Choose comfortable, loose, and windproof clothing suitable for outdoor activities. For winter visits, lightweight and warm down jackets are recommended.
4.Pay attention to temperature differences. The temperature on the mountain is generally lower than at the base. Visitors should adjust their clothing accordingly. If you do not bring extra clothing, you can rent it from local hotels or restaurants.
5.Footwear selection. For mountain climbing, it is best to wear sports shoes or hiking boots that are lightweight and non-slip.
6.Consider purchasing a walking stick. If needed, buying a hiking stick before climbing can help provide additional support and reduce physical strain.
7.Watch the weather. Weather in Huangshan is highly unpredictable, with frequent changes between sunny and rainy conditions. In case of poor weather, it is advisable to bring a raincoat. Umbrellas are not recommended due to the strong winds.
8.Safety during thunderstorms. Avoid climbing high peaks, touching metal railings, or seeking shelter under trees during thunderstorms to prevent lightning strikes. Instead, find shelter indoors or in lower-lying areas. Climbing peaks like Tiandu(Heavenly Capital) Peak and Lianhua(Lotus) Peak is strictly prohibited during such weather.
9.Visitors with hypertension or heart conditions should carry necessary medications and water. It is strongly advised not to travel alone.
