Welcome to Zhengzhou! Upon your arrival in Zhengzhou, your guide will warmly greet you and escort you to the city center. Your journey begins with a visit to the Henan Museum, home to over 130,000 cultural relics that tell the story of China's cradle of civilization. After a delicious local lunch, immerse yourself in the grandeur of the Yellow River Cultural Park, where you'll witness the mighty Yellow River, the "Mother River of China". As the day winds down, check into your hotel and relax, preparing for the adventures ahead.
After breakfast, embark on a scenic 1.5-hour drive to Dengfeng, the birthplace of Chinese martial arts. Here, you'll explore the iconic Shaolin Temple, where Zen Buddhism and Kung Fu merge in perfect harmony. Marvel at the ancient pagodas and watch a thrilling Kung Fu performance by the temple's monks. Later, ascend Songshan Mountain (Sanhuangzhai area) for breathtaking views and a tranquil connection with nature.
Today, we'll travel to Luoyang, a city steeped in history. Your first stop is the awe-inspiring Longmen Grottoes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring thousands of Buddhist carvings etched into limestone cliffs. Continue to the Hall of Heaven and the Hall of Brightness, where emperors once worshipped, and stroll through the historic Lijing Gate, a symbol of Luoyang's ancient grandeur.
Depart Luoyang for Sanmenxia, where you'll visit the fascinating Guoguo Museum, showcasing artifacts from an ancient feudal state. Next, step into the Courtyard Under the Horizon, a hidden gem of traditional architecture. In the afternoon, journey to Yuncheng and explore the majestic Guandi Temple, dedicated to Guan Yu, a legendary warrior revered as a symbol of loyalty and righteousness.
Begin your day at the Yongle Palace, renowned for its exquisite Taoist murals. Then, we'll set off for Pingyao, a UNESCO-listed ancient city frozen in time. En route, stop at the Wang Family Compound, a sprawling complex that reflects the opulence of Shanxi's merchant families. Upon arrival, wander through Pingyao Ancient City, where Ming and Qing Dynasty charm lingers in every cobblestone street.
Delve deeper into Pingyao's history with a visit to Qiao's Grand Courtyard, a masterpiece of Qing Dynasty architecture. Later, we'll embark on a picturesque drive to Wanxian Mountain, where rugged cliffs and serene landscapes await.
Spend the day hiking through Wanxian Mountain, including a visit to the cliffside Guoliang Village, a testament to human ingenuity. In the afternoon, we'll transfer to Yuntai Mountain, a UNESCO Global Geopark known for its stunning waterfalls and lush valleys.
Revel in the natural beauty of Yuntai Mountain with a full day of exploration. Later, we'll drive to Kaifeng, a city with a rich Song Dynasty heritage. As night falls, experience the vibrant atmosphere of Kaifeng's night market, where the aroma of local delicacies fills the air.
Discover Kaifeng's highlights, including the Memorial Temple of Lord Bao, a tribute to a famous Song Dynasty judge, and the imposing Daliang Gate. Stroll through the Millennium City Park, a recreation of a Song Dynasty metropolis. In the evening, we'll transfer to Xinzheng for a comfortable stay near the airport.
It's time to say goodbye. After breakfast, your guide will assist you with your departure. Take with you unforgettable memories of Henan's rich history, stunning landscapes, and warm hospitality. Bon voyage!

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd.
