Day 1Arrive in Xiamen

Our guide will meet you at Xiamen Airport. We will then take a coach to view Golden Ring Road, visit South Putuo Temple, and make a photo stop at Xiamen University. You will also have the opportunity for shopping at Zhongshan Road. After these activities, we will transfer you to the hotel.

Day 2Visit Tianluokeng Earth Building, Yuchang Building, and Taxia village, then transfer to Yongding.

After breakfast, we will transfer to Zhangzhou Nanjing and visit Line A Tianluokeng Earth Building. This includes Zhenchang Building, Ruiyun Building, Hehang Building, and Wenchang Building. We will also visit the Yuchang Building (a leaning structure Hakka house) and pass through Taxia village, which is one of the beautiful villages built along a stream. Then we will transfer to Yongding by bus.

Tianluokeng Earth Building is located in Shuyang Town, where we will take an overview of the top of the mountain from the view platform. The castle, composed primarily of four roundhouses plus one rectangular earthen house, is named 4 dishes and 1 soup. It is one of the most magnificent and well-preserved Hakka houses in the area.

Day 3 Visit Yongding Hakka cultural village

Pick up from the hotel and take you to visit Yongding Hakka cultural village, including Zhenchenglou (a magnificent building combining Chinese and Western styles), Kuijulou (a palace-style building), Fuyulou (a five-phoenix-style building), and Rushenglou (a mini-sized circular building). After lunch, transfer to visit the Gaobei Hakka Building and see Chengqilou, the largest grand circular building composed of four circular buildings. Also visit the Wuyun Building, Shize Building, and Qiaofu Building before transferring back to Xiamen.

Day 4Visit Gulangyu Island, then drive to Aobing Village.

Today, we will start our tour at Gulangyu Island by taking a ferry. This island is located off the coast of Xiamen, Fujian Province in southeastern China. A UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, the island is about 2 km2 (0.77 sq mi) in area and can be reached by a 5-minute ferry ride from downtown Xiamen. Gulangyu prohibits cars and bicycles, allowing only small electric buggies and electric government service vehicles. We will visit the Shuzhuang Garden and Piano Museum. After that, we will drive to Aobing Village for some rest.

Day 5Explore the Aobing village, then back to Xiamen, and stroll around Longtou Road and Zhongshan Road.

In the morning, take a walk around Aobing Village, which is known as "Wuyuan of Fujian". In spring, the fields are full of beautiful cole flowers. You can explore the village at your leisure for the rest of the day. In the afternoon, drive back to Xiamen, stroll around Longtou Road, and enjoy some shopping on Zhongshan Road.

Day 6Depart from Xiamen

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
