It is the world’s only parietal relic of Buddha (the skull bone of Shakyamuni) enshrined in the palace of the mountain, which makes Niushoushan a sacred place for Buddhists.So you can take in pleasant mountain landscape and appreciate extraordinary Buddhist architecture. Choose to hike Mt. Jiuhua, one of China’s Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains, its misty trails leading to ancient temples where incense curls skyward. Alternatively, visit Jindizang Temple, its golden Buddha statues radiating tranquility. Return to the ship for a sunset cocktail, the Yangtze’s waters shimmering like liquid amber.
Today you arrive Jiujiang, there are varied options for you. Option A: step into Jingdezhen Porcelain Town, the “Ceramic Capital of the World.” Try your hand at crafting delicate blue-and-white pottery, guided by master artisans. Option B: Join in a full day shore excursion to the famous Mt. Lushan. You will enjoy imposing and magnificent peaks, unique waterfalls, and historical sites as well as a changing sea of clouds and a warm and comfortable climate. Back onboard, a Karaoke Night sparks laughter and camaraderie, your voice mingling with the river’s timeless murmur.
Wuhan’s Huanghe Tower rises crimson against the sky, offering panoramic views of the Yangtze’s vast expanse. Then delve deeper at the Hubei Provincial Museum, where the 2,400-year-old bronze chimes of Marquis Yi echo ancient melodies. As dusk paints the river gold, a Line Dance Party on deck invites you to sway to nostalgic tunes.
Fuel up with with breakfast before transferring to the Yueyang Tower, immortalized in Tang poetry for its views of Dongting Lake. Wander Ancient Bianhe Street, where teahouses and calligraphy shops evoke a slower, lyrical era. By evening, retire to the ship’s library with a book, the Yangtze’s whispers your only companion.
Prepare for an unforgettable journey in Jingzhou. Choose between a Xiongjia National Archaeological Site Park tour(Option A) or Jingzhou Museum & Jingzhou’s Ancient City Walls tour (Option B). Xiongjia National Archaeological Site Park is a high ranking tomb and chariots and horses array site discovered in China with the largest scale, highest quality, best reservation condition and richest relics, a grandeur wonder of the world! And Jingzhou's Ancient City Walls stand sentinel over centuries of history. Walk their weathered stones, imagining battles from the Three Kingdoms era. Among China's seven ancient city walls, the City Wall here is rated as the second best. Amazing journey continues in Yichang. Stand in awe before the Three Gorges Dam, its concrete slopes taming the Yangtze’s might. After that, sail through the 5-step Ship Locks of the Dam, which will give you a new experience about man-made wonder. As the ship navigates the Xiling Gorge, its cliffs bathed in sunset hues, a themed Gala Dinner celebrates the river’s grandeur.
At dawn, the ship enters the Qutang Gorge, its cliffs narrowing like a dragon’s jaws. You can choose to disembark at White Emperor City, perched high above the river, where Tang Dynasty poets once sought inspiration or choose to visit the magnificient "Three Gorges Summit", the highest point of the Three Gorges, offering panoramic views of the Qutang Gorge, Kuimen Gate and the winding Yangtze River. By night, Zhang Yimou’s “Return to the Three Gorges” Show dazzles with water, light, and myth.
